I'm not sure if it was b/c you had to play on stick but work on some more damaging combos to make those hits count for more. It'd be good to have a Noel player around here, I never get to play that match up. ... fuck my TE's USB cable is shorting! How do I fix this? I may need to borrow a stick now for next ranbats. I don't want it randomly unplugging/pausing matches.
Circuitous Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Part stick part suck. I'm gonna do some more practice tonight (this morning?). It's either a short or a loose wire. Either way I doubt it's any sort of major damage, if you crack it open it'll probably be really easy to fix. At worst you'll need a dab of solder.

I guess I should show up to more stuff and actually play BB then.... I still need a weekend in Training mode to learn her best damage stuff...but I'm pretty sure I could show you more of the matchup. Once you understand she's just fast 50/50's and shenanigans it's cake.

I'm wondering what times of the week you guys would think would be good. I'm not to sure about it all yet. Plus my stick is fucking broken so I'm not to enthusiastic at the moment. I'm right next to the University of Dayton and a lot of the BB players at AL all live in Dayton, It's silly that we all drive to Cincinnati only once a week to play each other. Also I could invite some of my friends who play BB but can never make it on Thursdays to AL. Interest check? What time of the week? What time of day? Would people be willing to bring extra setups? Would GG players want to come and setup a working ps2 setup and AC? I'm making no promises about this right now, but I'm bored and want to hear some input.

Only Dayton pseudo BB player that frequents this board is probably Jason, yes? Everyone else is on SRK mostly I think. There probably won't be a time when I can make it, so don't count on me. Back to Jason, since I'm not showing up, he's probably the only GG player you'll get.
Delpheous Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Sadly this is true. Ross and Lee both read SRK more then DL. Fred...I don't know what he's been doing, but my guess is LFD2. There is Eric/Temmy, but he'd rather play GG too honestly...and then there's Ryan but he doesn't post and probably doesn't even lurk...and he'd prefer GG to BB too, but would play anything. Asian Nick doesn't check boards, but he probably has the best Tager up in Dayton I'd say...but I haven't seen him since last quarter ended at Sinclair and he's typically randomly busy, so /shrug. There's also those two WSU dudes, but I don't know if they check boards either. Big guy who plays Jin and the asian dude who plays Ragna. Anyone else who plays BB is Cincy so...Dayton used to love BB, but no longer as expected. Lasted longer hten I expected though. Regardless, I wouldn't worry about having GG at any get together, because there'd only be three people playing it at most. If you used all your resources you could POTENTIALLY get a solid BB gathering going...but there's a lot of potential drama when you mix certain people with other people so who knows.

Eugene (Ragna player) lives like a block away apparently, and Zack (Jin Player) is at WSU (not far). I know they don't really read here so I was going to ask them about this in person etc. Arkayne is also just on the other side of town, and Otter and Anchor if she wanted to play too are both nearby as well. So that's about 5/6 active players in Dayton right now who go to AL ranbats from the Dayton Area. Add in my two friends who just haven't been able to get into it since Thursdays blow for them, and Dayton still loves BB IMHO.
