ConvoltedStyLe Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Good games to everyone I played at AWA, especially Chris (Pachirisu on here?), Skeletal Minion, and Jam's Legs. I think I need to remember headphones and music for FinalRound though. I found myself fixated on Jam's crowd of friends cheering for him quite a bit during the match. I had fun, even though I got knocked out in 2 rounds after getting a by in the tournament (I blame the random seeding). My win streak in the casual room made up for it I suppose. Also, photoshop. I was instructed to post something about it, so I am posting it. I wanted to apologize about some of my friends actions at that tourney. They get overly hype for no reason sometimes. You guys still did pretty good considering the circumstances you were in. I will definitly have to see you guys again like after Platinum is out. I want to mess with her a bit. I might change my main lol.

Also Tim that table you linked to me, keep in mind i have some experience in design, that thing was probably one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. SRK has plenty of interesting stick designs, I'm trying not to go for something outrageously gaudy.

I did the same thing while playing Chris, listening to the audience, only I hadn't figured out if anyone was specifically talking about our match. I heard your friends and got fixated on it, especially while I had an advantage. If I had texted my friend that I was up, he would have been yelling as well. Also Valkenhyne comes out tonight on PSN, Valk release party? I would, but since I went to AWA all weekend and didn't bring my laptop, I'm really behind on schoolwork. I haven't even put my new buttons I bought into my stick yet. No Valk until Friday for me. :8/:

Also, while I'm posting, anyone know how I can get a full stage shot or partial stage shot of some of the stages on BB? Trying to make some custom stick art, Reptar told me about a booth selling clear seimitsu buttons so I got some and want to finish this stick art. Plan is to use some sprites and make it look like they're on a stage for part of the stick. Kentiah Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 I personally just used a small sharpening stone and rubbed it on it til shaved off enough at one spot to fit close enough/under the metal piece, but you could do it with a piece of rock or something. I didn't see any sandpaper but chances are we have some somewhere, I'll ask when my stepdad gets here.

The pot was 360 and I only got 100 dollars >.> and free entry to AWA next year. Same happend with SF. The pot for that was 660 and the winner only got 180. AWA takes the biggest cash cuts ever lol.

Yea, I won't be participating in any AWA tournaments in the future. Besides a select few people, competition didn't look too great (I got a little salty at my luck with the bracket once I was knocked out and started watching some of the other players mashing away), and it was run horribly (the people who set it up obviously didn't know what they were doing with the single Makoto station that someone had to bring in and Mu-12 wasn't on every console either). Hopefully Revival and AWA won't be scheduled for the same time next year though. I don't really have the means of transportation to hop back and forth between the two.

CrushrDestroyr Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 So for all of you Georgia Tech people in this thread, I'll be bringing my ps3, BBCS and my stick to Tech Rec this wednesday afternoon to get some games in with whoever wants to show up and play. Ivysaur said he'd bring his stick, as well, so unless some urgent group project classwork pops up in the next few days (and even then I'd just leave the ps3 with you guys for a few hours and pick it up later) I hope to see you Tech folks there and have some fun and hopefully learn some new things. Edit: Also, Paul: You said if i wanted my stick dual modded to work on 360 I'd need to get a Madcatz 360 controller, correct? Is there anything else in the way of materials I need to get before I hand it over to you for some hot modding action?

Since I'm ordering a bunch of parts for Ivysaur's stick soon, you can just give me $9 and I'll order an Imp for you. edit: without an Imp i have to use a physical switch and do some drilling to your TE, and a physical switch cost about the same as an Imp.
