Id_asz Posted August 24, 2009 Author Posted August 24, 2009 By the way, "Biweekly" means twice a week, "bimonthly" would be twice a month <.< >.> So...... Meh, That's what I thought a year ago, but everyone kept using bi-weekly in this context, so I went with it. Thanks for the input, though. What would it mean for every other week, though? I mean I understand bi-monthly would mean twice a month, but that =! every two weeks. We'll probably come to a point where we have 3 in one month. Wikitionary says: Noun Singular biweekly Plural biweeklies biweekly (plural biweeklies) 1. Something that is published or released once every two weeks. The local paper is a biweekly. Ugh, I'm a Physics Major, not an English Major ^_^
Mr. Camaro Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 Hey guys just wondering if the majority of the BB playerbase plays at FFA/Denjin? I really want to up my game, but I think I hit a wall only playing AI comp (and lets not mention lol-line). Can anyone tell me when's a day all the OGs play so I can come and get my ass kicked and level up? I don't want to make the 1.5 hour drive only to play joe-smoe, or even worse, no one at all. Ya hit up denjin or ffa friday night
APSolute Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 hey if you guys want i have a modded ps2 i can bring in for ppl to practice MBAA with :]
Mike Z Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 By the way, "Biweekly" means twice a week, "bimonthly" would be twice a month The OED says it can go either way - twice a week, or once a fortnight.
Mr. Camaro Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 The OED says it can go either way incoming bisexual joke: like a bisexual, am I right?!?

AlmightyGnat Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 *wanders in with a flame shield ready* :psyduck:Alright... As you all know, Cat and I recorded the last tournament in it's entirety. We've both been pretty busy as of late, so we haven't had much time to do editing for the videos. So today, before we were getting ready to meet up, I received a phone call from Cat. I answer and she proclaims bad news to be had. Now, first off.. Cat went completely out of her way to record this for us, so I haven't been outright bugging her about it. This was something done because she's nice.. she totally didn't have to do anything. I've been receiving messages and whatnot asking about the status of the videos. I'm not the one with immediate access to the footage, Cat is. OK, so now that that's out of the way.. We come to the bad news. She tells me that she must have left the appropriate cord to upload the footage online in Scottland! So there are a few things we can do from this point. 1: If anybody has this cord (that, granted, I don't know shit about) then perhaps we can get together so we can get some of these matches online. 2: I will have to go buy this cord (approx around 25 bucks) when I receive my next paycheck. At that point, Cat and I can finish the editing process. WHAT WILL NOT HAPPEN: I will not be forgetting about this. I have already chosen specific matches that I'm looking very much forward to putting online. I WILL STILL BE GETTING THE VIDEOS ONLINE, IT'S JUST GONNA TAKE MORE TIME THAN WAS QUOTED!! Alright, you guys can begin harassing me now. *preps flame shield*
AlmightyGnat Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 *bookmarks site* I knew that I'd need more info on this 'mystery cord.' I left her a message on facebook, and I'm gonna call her when I get out of work in like.. 20 minutes. Will edit this post with needed info soon.
Mr. Camaro Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 well I say! we've found ourselves in quite a pickle!
Id_asz Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 If you need more money, I can give you the $25 this Friday. I'll be at FFA all day. BTW, can't wait to play MBAA. It's a shame that Shiki Ryougi is not tournament legal, I would totally pick her up as a secondary. I need to get the required modded memory card, or whatever it is, in order to play it >.< EDIT: For you Melty Blood fans, I posted this same thread over at Meltybread.com . They're more MB centered (obviously).
Soniti Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I'm planning on going to this. I'm looking forward to MBAA casuals! If I can get my ps2 back in time, I'll be able to mod peoples' memory cards there.
AlmightyGnat Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 lol. So she didn't give me too much info.. a one word description of the cord from Cat: "firewire"
Onichi Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 It's too bad she didn't give what amount of Pins are needed on both sides, assuming of course she meant a straight firewire cable, cuz if she did they aren't that expensive from the site Mike Z linked: http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10301 Prices range from ~$2 - $11
AlmightyGnat Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Seriously. I just picked up a 6 pin to 4 pin firewire cord. I will be getting a 4 pin to 4 pin one once I get paid. One of those two will do the trick.
Fwooshy Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Hi guys i'm new to dustloop! My friend and I are planning to join the 1v1 tournament here at FFA. I hope I get to meet some of you guys and get some tips on my ragna i barely switched to! =]. I normally play at AI but there aren't many good BlazBlue players there...so i'm hoping FFA will be a much better experience for me :D
Mr. Camaro Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 lookin forward to seeing you there fwooshy I'll be that one guy playin that one character!
IkeTakeda Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Yah that one character that no one really want get good at except him.
IkeTakeda Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 O yah if u want Ragna tip that guy who plays Ragna and all will halp you out..
AlmightyGnat Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 GET HYPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPE Gonna be rolling to FFA today after work as well. I got a dollar, I can get a few hours of BB in.:8/:
Id_asz Posted August 28, 2009 Author Posted August 28, 2009 lookin forward to seeing you there fwooshy I'll be that one guy playin that one character! You'll be me?! I swear, why does everyone have to pick Ragna, Noel, Jin, Tager, Litchi, Taokaka, Rachel, Nu, Arakune or Haku-Men? They're all noob characters >.< Carl and Bang is where it's at! (Mostly Carl) @Onichi: You going to be representing Jin this time? Last tournament had 0 + 0 Jin's. @AGnat (and everyone else): I'll be playing all night tonight. I might even get off early (but let's not get our hopes up). I want to get some practice against you, AGnat, before the tournament. My Tager experience has been severely lacking as of late. @Fwooshy: There's usually a few good Ragnas who show up each tournament. Ike Takeda, Gibby and Batsu (especially). So you can see how they play. If you want good competition, come Friday nights, there's always a line then. But if you come say Tues at 2PM, there's no guarantees. Kro is often here that early though, if you want to get your ass kicked 20 wins in a row >.<
Raptor Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 Will be there later today, albeit tired from biking all the way there.
