That's fine with me, I'm always comic relief.

It's just that in the Michigan scene, everyone is comic relief.

lmao!

Anyway, Gundam EXVS console seems to be in the hands of a few Japanese players. http://ja.justin.tv/rx_888?#/w/2155790032 a stream is going on right now.

I haven't pre-ordered it yet since I am sorta waiting to hear how the console port plays out. But, from this stream all seems fine. Now just to wait and hear about the netplay... (Ah, but not like i'd have many to netplay this with... :< )

Ah, I hope UFO get's this game :(

That would be pretty cool, yeah.

Hmm, you said you were getting the console port, right? I am just waiting to hear how the netplay is.

Anyone know for sure if it doesn't support local network play?

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but the internet has no reliable information on it, so eh.

And I wonder how our connections will be from west to east coasts. hm.

edit: lol, totally forgot we had an actual exvs thread here, too. oh well. I'll just be sad at your CSX cab, now.

Yeah, I was just posting that here since Texas is one of(the only?) place with Gundam VS experience.

Norcal has that experience, now! All of, like, 3 months of it.

Ohhh, didn't know they got it! That's cool.

Hopefully the netplay isn't so bad when playing in the US and lots of people get it.

I watched a good bit of the twitch.tv and the nico stream of it. The loading was fast and gameplay seemed smooth. Of course the arcade game was running on a PS3 board if I remember right so it shouldn't be any differences really. I hope the netcode holds up on NA soil. Can't wait to get my copy this week. :3

I miss the way the scene used to be here for that game.

Extreme Vs looks so clean and perty, I'm sure a lot of people would jump on it just due to visual appeal. Not only that, but we need SOMETHING at UFO because all the games we have outside of fighting games are either in bad condition, or very, very boring (hopefully things will change soon).

Otherwise, about Extreme Vs, it's be noted that the net coding is ass and there is no offline lan.

And yes, the guy who said this was some Japanese dude hosting a live stream, speaking poor English, and was getting raped by other players online from those who knew how to play, lawl.

Oh knows, he could be wrong.

UFO NEEDS TO GET THIS GAME!!

One of these days, I wanna go visit Texas to eat. :|

Also, shitty netcode in EXVS shouldn't be a problem at arcades, as long as you can get all the PS3s to join the same matchmaking lobby.

8 frames of input lag when punishing landing recovery is 80% of the game, IT WILL BE A PROBLEM!!

Even our casual games who play this game are aware of the issue.

We need that lagless Arcade Edition, son!

Wait. There're 8 frames of lag no matter what?

Man. I thought that was a connection-related issue. Why they do this!?

Nah, I'm only guessing, actually.

PSN already has forced input lag in order to prevent bandwidth issues, and that Japanese dude with bad English said the net coding is bad playing with players in Japan.

OR MAYBE HE WAS SAYING AMERICANS ARE AWESOME, EVERYONE GET IT FOR SUPER PARTY TIME!!

8 frames sounds about right.

Where is this data? I know of the lag on ps2 emulation on ps3, but I never heard of a standardized lag on it's network coding before. I would think that would be a game by game basis on how they code it. :V
