A lot of my friends play SSFIV or want to try MVC3, but a couple of us like the other side of house with BBCS/GGAC/Melty Blood/ect. It all really depends on whats there and what people, but I'm up for anything.
Kurokun Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Hmm... If you are looking for SSF4/MvC3 comp stuffs while you are here, you might want to check out SRK's 808 SSF4 thread. I think there is a tourney for both games (MvC3 singles/SSF4 2v2 teams) this coming Friday night (Mar. 11th) at PC Gamerz out in Kaneohe, on the east side of the island. So if you've got the time and transportation (and entry fee stuffs) it'd be worth checking out, but you arrive on Oahu that day so it might be somewhat problematic, lol. Another option for FG stuffs would be at Computer Geeks/HVGL HQ, which has events on Fri/Sat and I think there is one this coming Saturday evening (Mar. 12th). Casuals/tourney for mostly SSF4 and MvC3 stuffs. There's also a slight possibility for ANIMU FG stuffs... Dunno how it's been as of late though, lol. I don't have anything planned this Saturday. I could meet up with you guys at Computer Geeks, just say what time and I'll be there.

Blais: What?! :toot: Some thoughts on the season finale of TC: All-Stars: - I would've never thought the finale would be between Blais and Mike. I was thinking maybe Blais vs Dale or Angelo. - 1v1 instead of a '3-way, heads up' showdown was a good choice for the All-Stars finale. - Selection for sous chefs via blind taste test was a good twist. - Where the hell was Bourdain? lol. Highlight(s) of TC: All-Stars: - Blais' (redemption) win of the Top Chef title. - Padma in a bikini. Low point(s) of TC: All-Stars: - Jamie and the 'non-cooking' drama. - Kinda disappointed that some chefs didn't make it farther in the competition: (Dale, Angelo, Tre, Casey, Jen).

I was referring to the current state of the 808 thread, where barely any other Hawaii people haven't really been posting in here AT ALL since early 2011 (except for Bears and myself, lol), but apparently you think otherwise after reading my post. I know barely anyone checks this place, it's just there for the off chance that someone does. We're just trying to get our scene going, so having information available in any place that people in our area may look is helpful.
