I just think she's one of the Murakumo units, perhaps the one that was being sent into the boundary in the opening cinematic, whom somehow escaped and survived after Ikaruga was blown to hell. This visibly shattered her actual blade unit(or whatever that is), which is why she lived normally from thereafter, her main link being severed until it was awakened in the presence of Nu. Also, Nu's happy go murdery reaction to Ragna and Noel's sympathetic reaction could also be explained this way. Nu didn't have the luxury of being mostly free of her creation. Noel did. So Nu wants to show her sibling love for her brother with knives, while Noel saves him and calls him a big stupid stupid stupid baka baka baka etc for almost getting killed. Saya clones man, serious business.

My theory is that Noel=Saya who has been brainwashed by Hazama and given programming to sync with murokomo (is that how its spelt?) unit.

That would explain the blue star beside Saya's name. (I'm just trying to make disprove the idea that the relationship chat would have random errors like that; also, that would mean one of the unknown Arch Enemy is indeed in Bang's hands)

We need more happy endings, especially for Carl, Arakune and Litchi.

But if they get happy endings, then they can't be playable...:gonk:

Well as long as :BANG: gets :LI: in the end instead of :AR: (BLACK SQUIGGLY!!:arg:) then I'll be happy. But I'm also hoping that :AR: will return to human form and :CA:'s sister Ada will be ok.

That makes sense up until you consider this. With the addition of Lamda-11 who looks exactly like Nu (from what I understand), why is it that during the production of these Murakumo units did the NOL alter the design choice when making 12 from what 11 looked like, then went BACK to the previous version when making 13? I mean think about it. Noel has blonde hair, normal skin tone and normal eyes, while lamda and nu both have white hair, white skin tone and red eyes (basically they are albinos).

Also furthermore Hazama implied (if not outright admitting it) that Noel has the true Grimoire. Wouldn't the makers of mu-12 notice something as powerful as that when making her? But I guess thats what BB:CS is for to fill in these questions :)

I agree. I like :BANG:x:LI:...XD

In story mode/endings with :BANG: in them, he's gotten:

:CA::TA:- as apprentices

:HA:- to respect him

:LI:- to care about him

:JI:- Frozen (where's your ice car, now!?)

:CA: has:

:BANG: as a master (best ending ever)

:LI: to take a hit for him

And a bunch of psycho moments (Super PMS Carl, anyone? His happy emotion makes him fly while crying makes him run really fast...XD)

:RA: as his wife :vbang: (I wish...)

And :LI:...I don't know since I haven't gotten her true ending yet. But I do know that she:

:BANG: Beats him up

:CA: yells at him and :TA:

:AR: crys for him

Where the hell are my happy endings...?

Well since all the endings except the true ending ultimately result in Kagutsuchi blowing up shortly after the events of the story mode you played, the answer to your question is just 1 (yes even the ones that don't show it happening the city blows up).

Time will tell. I can only assume Noel either didn't go so far into the process, or her breaking free changed her appearance that much. I'm going to assume that they upgraded or changed the versions little by little as they went along. I can't assume or guess how.

Time will tell.

Exactly, either of our two theories are the most likely events, but there is still also a chance that ASW can throw us a curve ball and make it something COMPLETELY different lol.

Great job! So Carl goes missing for two years after being enrolled. I still think he's 12-14 years old instead of 9-11. I can't imagine NOL enrolling a 8 year old...

Isn't it stated somewhere that children enroll in the NOL very often because they aren't expected to live very long?

Really? Well, some story modes, namely Jin and Noel's was done by my brother so I have no idea...still, I think 8's too young...

This also makes me wonder. If she has the true grimoire, why isn't she S tier? They're nerfing the hell out of her.

Because she's too obsessed with pandas to actually pay attention to what she's doing. :yaaay:

She wasn't even fondling that thing, she was squeezing the life out of it. Eyes wide, tendril of drool. Poor thing.

I just wanna say this theory that may or may not be right and I think is just awesome. Terumi is a friendly ghost that has wandered the world for millions of years.... who knows why :v: anyways when Jin comes back to the past b/c of rachel, rachel just leaves him thinking "*sigh* what a loser, why did I even bother bringing him here...." then she leaves. the black beast appears! *dun dun dun* jin wants to kill it, vaguely remembering something about Nu + Ragna = black beast? and is like OMG NIIII-SAN!!!! He wants to band together a bunch of heros than realizes how much of a wimp he is. He just walks around thinking about how much of a failure he is and he'll never amount to his nii-san when he goes into an alley and meets Terumi. Terumi sees that Jin needs power, and gives him the Susano unit because Terumi is actually really nice. So Jin gets it, and he can use it as a costume or whatever with ookami and kick ass. He bands together other people (he and terumi are the first two) and proceed to own the black beast, teach ars and nox nyoctes and whatever. AND THENNNNN. Jin realizes he's nothing without the susano'o unit. When Terumi asks for the unit back cuz he wants to help other kid super heroes Jin's inferiority complex says he doesn't want to return it, in fear of being less than Ragna. So he runs off with the Susano'o unit. But then Terumi puts a curse on the Susano'o unit which kills Jin's mortality, and his soul is stuck inside the Susano'o unit FOREVERRRR. And that's why he has to like "atone for his sins" and how they're always referring to "when he was human...." yeeeaaahh.... that's the stupid version, I bet it could be said better but I just thought of that like right now lol.

One of the primary functions of Nox Nyctores is to unburden their owners of "needless" emotions and enhance others; this has a profound effect, for example eliminating feer, but owners may also find themselves losing their compassion, remorse, etc..

You know, some of the new story changes I've looked at with general disappointment but I gotta say--- Who the hell called this one! :D :D :D In my Nox Nyctores thread, I mentioned specifically that I believed the weapons to simply be that-- weapons that carried a certain psychological weight so as to make its user fight more efficiently without fear, hesitation, remorse, and other emotions which may distract on the battlefield-- not weapons that possess under the control of someone like Terumi.

And it seems, if this is correct information, that I was dead on. This explains much of Jin's, Noel's, and Carl's behavior with their Nox Nyctores.

What about Bang, though? How's he being altered? Maybe he's not actively using the Nox that he allegedly has. I'm curious to know more.

Lambda and Noel were both produced by Ikaruga. Lambda is mentioned in the Story Mode intro as the "subject 11" that became "useless", and Noel is the unit they're attempting to smelt when the attack from Take-Mikazuchi levels the place.

Lambda also has blonde hair in her artwork, as an FYI. She'll probably have a different design altogether from Nu when she's outside of her armor, but they clearly didn't want to have to redraw every single Nu sprite.

On the last point, Noel is the one destined to inherit the Azure, it's highly unlikely that she already has it. And even so, she was created by Ikaruga just moments before Ibukido was blown to bits by a giant attack sattelite, so it's not like her creators had much of a chance to give her a test drive. Noel was left behind with her sword/body armor destroyed, and some time in the same year was found and adopted by the Vermilion family and lived a mostly normal human life as an NOL soldier.

With all the things we knew before this source came out we should have figured out Terumi and Valkenhayn were 2 of the 6 Heroes or at least could have agreed that they were.

Everyone pretty much agreed that Terumi has the Ouroboros seal at the end of the True End. And looking at one of the pieces of art from Hakumen's Arcade you can see one of the "Unknown" 6 Heroes is dual wielding swords (that isn't Jubei) and he happens to have the same hairstyle as Hazama when he reveals himself to be Terumi. So all that makes sense.

Then because of the way Valkenhayn acts in the Story you can figure he had some importance in the past. And now that we know full well he was it makes sense again to look at Hakumens arcade Art and one of the other "Unknown" 6 heroes has a goatee and long hair in a ponytail, just like Valkenhayn.

So we still have 1 Hero unaccounted for. The Bell person.

Wait who is the 5th one? I only count 4 Hakumen, Terumi, Valk, Jubei... wait there is Nine(The Witch) is she the fifth one you are talking about? But who is to say she doesn't have the bell Nox?

if you look at the mural pic i dont think nine can be 2 people at once.

But she was created by Sector 7, not the Ikaruga Fundation, right?.

Do we know who really is Rachel?, she is acting like a god playing with her toys. If She is out of the current timeline, maybe she is some kind of divine entity or god?.

IMHO the story is too convoluted for a first game in a long run franchise ( I hope). Is great too have some deep but the way they told the story is :psyduck:

Thanks for the translations, I can't wait to get the book in my hands.

These are some valid points, but I don't feel like they discredit my theory. For instance instead of "smelting" noel as you put, they could have just been adding the murakumo sync programming. This all boils down to a "we'll see" thing and maybe BB:CS will explain more.

There isn't enough given information about her past and the past of the BB universe as a whole to come up with a solid history. Keep in mind that timeline that was posted has ALOT of gaps and even the info that is filled in, isn't that informative. It doesn't matter which theory you go with, yours or mine, they both present and leave questions that cannot be answered at this time.

I don't understand how Terumi could be possessing Hazama, and isn't just Hazama himself. As was previously pointed out, if Hazama was just a normal dude that got possessed, then what was he doing in the past as a member of the Six Heroes? Also, we SEE Hazama being evil and dodgey as if he was Terumi all along in the story mode, before the True End. If you play Rachel's end you see Hazama with an evil golden tint to his eyes, and acting like Terumi, and in the True End you see him reveal himself after Noel leaves. So he wasn't just possessed at the end of the True End...

But she was created by Sector 7, not the Ikaruga Fundation, right?.

She was a joint project between the Ikaruga Federation and Sector Seven, I believe Ikaruga was working on Sector Seven's supervision, since the scientist was concerned that if he didn't produce results, he'd be, "hearing from Sector Seven".

Do we know who really is Rachel?, she is acting like a god playing with her toys. If She is out of the current timeline, maybe she is some kind of divine entity or god?.

God or divine entity? No. Eternal vampire existing outside of the normal flow of time? Yes.

She's lived through the time loop many times, so, most likely, a lot of what she does is out of boredom and wanting to see/do something different.

These are some valid points, but I don't feel like they discredit my theory. For instance instead of "smelting" noel as you put, they could have just been adding the murakumo sync programming.

I meant to say "tempering", which was the term used in the English localization, but it means the same thing. The Japanese term, seiren (精錬) means tempering, forging, or smelting.

Anyway, the intro to BlazBlue tends to disagree, as they outright say, "Tempering process beginning."

So he wasn't just possessed at the end of the True End...

Hazama wasn't a member of the Six Heroes. "Yuuki Terumi" was a member of the Six Heroes. We don't know Hazama's real name, and really only know that he's Captain of the NOL's Intelligence Division.

And recall that you also see Terumi outside of and away from Hazama, in the form of a ghostly entity with a green eye and big red grin.

So, Hazama might be the secret identity of the body Terumi has always possessed, or he might be Terumi's current host. We probably won't know until Continuum Shift is out, maybe not even until getting a proper story mode in the console version.
