Jthan Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 more like (CH jC or 6B, 5B) tsubame, 6c(1)>rekkaB>riichiA
STenSatsu Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 True, but you could already do tsubame->hatsu->riichi->etc in CT so I didn't really think about it.
STenSatsu Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 New 3rd loc test litchi vids out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drXx7_l6Thg&feature=player_profilepage Litchi starts bout halfway in. Shows 6D, which looks pretty amazing. Covers a lot of distance, shame it leaves the staff flinging like 5D. 6A[m] looks like it still has Manten Return state on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O3QLAm9UYY&feature=player_profilepage Litchi starts about halfway in. Show 4D, which flings staff like 2D. At 5:16 it almost looks like the first hit of 6D is special cancellable since I think he did 6D(1hit), tsubame. Dropping off the staff also looks a bit changed as far as distance and such but I'm not really sure since I can't double check it atm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlAHBA6P7V8&feature=player_profilepage Nothing really new here.
Lord Knight Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hooooooooooooooly shit she can do rekkas from riichiA omg omg omg omg omg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O3QLAm9UYY&feature=player_profilepage#t=6m23s I REALLY HOPE with all my heart that this stays in for the final version.
STenSatsu Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Ya, I wasn't sure if she was dropping first or not but the momentum looked weird.
Litchi Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Hooooooooooooooly shit she can do rekkas from riichiA omg omg omg omg omg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O3QLAm9UYY&feature=player_profilepage#t=6m23s I REALLY HOPE with all my heart that this stays in for the final version. It looks like shes doing them from riichiC, notice how the staff wiggles when she launches off of it? Although I could be very wrong.
Diveman Posted October 10, 2009 Author Posted October 10, 2009 also if you notice in the first video, the falling staff a the end of daisharin removes 2 guard primers on block. Either that or it just removes 1 (the 1st guard primer was recovering from ryuiisou, so maybe if guard primers dont fully recover and you block a guard primer breaker move, that one wont be able to recover and you´ll lose it as well.) edit: Ill update the first post as soon as this loketest ends, so that we can gather (and confirm) all the new info and put it together on monday/tuesday
Bridget Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 awww, looks like I need to learn kote combos x.x can never pull those off but on the other hand the rekka off of staff? Delicious.
Zenmetsu Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Daisharin's drop only removes 1 primer. Lost guard primer recovers over time. When it is close to recovering the primer will start flashing. If you lose another primer before it fully recovers then you lose both the one you were trying to gain back as well as the new one you just lost.
geist Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 It looks like shes doing them from riichiC, notice how the staff wiggles when she launches off of it? Although I could be very wrong. actually, it DOES seem like riichiA...it looks like if you do a rekka from the staff, it changes your trajectory (like Jam's IAD kick moves)
Jthan Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 could you not do that in CT? command for rekka starts with down, so wouldnt she drop off the staff and then instantly do the rekka?
geist Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 D flings seem to have RIDICULOUSLY quick recovery now, in the litchi vs. jin video one of the times she flings she does 5B almost immediately (happens @4:36) litchi might be top in this rendition...I can't see one reason (yet) why not

Also, 4D seems to have a lot of hit stun, it "seems" that you can land and continue with the combo, or at least after the kick do a kote and j.C --> combo Also OMG at the hatsu and chun going down, thats definitely jam inspired there lol, now the riichi mixup in the corner is going to become even deadlier than it is now
STenSatsu Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Only combo I've heard of off 4D was canceling into air hatsu, chun.
Diveman Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 Only combo I've heard of off 4D was canceling into air hatsu, chun. yeha but that was like in the 1st or 2nd loketest, maybe they changed it now, at least in the Litchi vs Jin one, seems to leave them stunned for quite a long time
geist Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Only combo I've heard of off 4D was canceling into air hatsu, chun. looks like at least on CH that it crumples, so maybe 4D chun->whatever or 4D land or 4D riichi something? at the very least on block we can probably look forward to 4D->kote->AD j.BC or kote, land 2B or....4D kote j.C JC kote j.CD mmmm
Spud Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 So how are her mixup and corner games now? So far, at least?
geist Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 So how are her mixup and corner games now? So far, at least? so far in the loctest videos no one's really exploring her corner mix-up options because they're all trying to do what they did in CT...but from what I'm seeing/thinking, she has a LOT of potential
Jthan Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 i read a combo in the other thread that ended in (corner i guess) 4D kote JC land 3c, and since 4D gives the stick a 2D trajectory, this would give you the same wake up situation at in CT, yay! Animation on the stick call back looks REALLY good

It's the hitstun that's different. Arcsys heard my pleas, I guess.
Lord Knight Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 http://jbbs.livedoor.jp/bbs/read.cgi/game/45148/1247584651/878 Good summary of what Litchi could do at this loketest (for JP readers) EDIT: Apparently one guy did 6C(1) > Kote 6 times and it worked lolololololol
SilverDrgn85 Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Hooooooooooooooly shit she can do rekkas from riichiA omg omg omg omg omg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O3QLAm9UYY&feature=player_profilepage#t=6m23s I REALLY HOPE with all my heart that this stays in for the final version. You can see the guy's joystick hand in that vid. 6:23 - half circle motion, returns the stick to neutral, Litchi leaps and immediately does falling hatsu. 6:26 - half circle motion, returns stick to neutral, Litchi leaps to staff, does three kicks (A -> B -> C perhaps?), then the guy taps down, and Litchi dismounts 6:28 - guys seems to botch some riichiA attempts 6:30, 6:34, 6:37 - half circle motion, returns stick to neutral, Litchi leaps to staff, falling Chun. He seems to be trying to figure out combo followups here. Since the stick is at neutral during the times the rekkas start, these new moves either replace the riichiA B and C kicks or riichiB and riichiC. Since we see three kicks from riichiA, and her old riichiB and riichiC are mysteriously absent from this guy's experimentation, I suspect these are her new riichiB and riichiC moves.
Diveman Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 EDIT: Apparently one guy did 6C(1) > Kote 6 times and it worked lolololololol congratulations, now we have a new loop lol
