Zero000 Posted September 19, 2010 Author Posted September 19, 2010 oh my bad, i meant CID and if you're mid screen, why not just do the normal ID combo anyways and save that meter
Xill Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 5B 66 Kara Throw(5B) It's about the dumbest thing i've ever done.
TITANIUM BEAST!!! Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 oh my bad, i meant CID and if you're mid screen, why not just do the normal ID combo anyways and save that meter shrug I dunno to kill people? The title of the thread is LET'S GET DUMB, why would you question the practicality of anything posted here?
Zero000 Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 Shrug, i thought just doing mid screen CID follow ups, 5b 6a jc jd jc belial, 5d carnage scissors did more damage. must test.
VR-Raiden Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Been catching some people with this lately. After you do ID>214D ender in the corner, if you do BE it hits them if they stay down too long. If they don't emergency tech from that, it will do the bounce and you can do some extra blue beat hits. If they neutral tech in time so the BE whiffs, they rightfully assume they can attack. but then you do Inferno Divider BE whiff > ID is a silly trick in itself that's worked quite often actually. EDIT: I'm also gonna steal Asdferty's post from general discussion (hope you don't mind) and put it here, since it's a worthy addition to this kind of stuff Important thing about DbD for tech traps, you can hit bang, hakumen, and tsubaki from a 22c without moving, so if they like to tech out you can grab em from that. If they don't tech you still get 1.5k~ life and a knockdown (or the trap above). This is not corner specific as the pushback is the same, but it helps in the corner as the can't back up or jump away, only up into your big red glove.
Final Ultima Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Speaking of that Kakato Otoshi, Belial Edge shenanigan, during casuals at SVB I was RCing Kakato Otoshi for the purpose of connecting with a Belial Edge to either force an emergency tech for oki or land a blue beat 22C. It's a slightly weaker version of the Belial Edge, 3C true oki. To add to the shenanigans, now for the PERFECT "WHEN THE PLANETS ALIGN" NEVER HAPPEN SCENARIO (warning: does not work against smart players). You've whittled down your opponent's Guard Primers to one. Because of the fear of getting guard broken, you catch them in a throw, enter Blood Kain, and do a combo to regain your meter. You make sure it ends with something that gives you free reign after the combo, like 3C or 22C. Now, you prepare a meaty Hell's Fang. They start using Barrier out of fear of Tsuika guard breaking them (this is where a better player would either wait for the Tsuika itself or just IB or Instant Barrier instead). RC the Hell's Fang, and go straight for Yami ni Kuwarero. With the extra block stun from entering Barrier, they won't be able to escape it resourceless.

Janiekenzu Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 What normal do I use to kara throw . . ?
Rokunaya Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 5B afaik and it doesn't give that much extra range.
TCSyd Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Might as well mention that how late you cancel 5B determines the range boost you get. There's 2 levels of range boost, as far as I know.
Tong Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 You're better of doing 5A whiffs into throws...
