Galaxy Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 Hello guys! I was just wondering, how do I gain altitude when trying to utilize Sidewinder? I usually do Sol's command throw>dash>2H>jS>SW>2H, but I don't really know what to do after that. Any help?
excelence Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 Not really a Sol Player, but i think u do the wrong combos try checking the combo thread
Hurricane22491 Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 you mean to lift the opponent back up? Maybe it's just timing with the 2H. ...SW>K>2H>j.S>SW... is a bit easier, or just catch them in the air after SW. ie; ...SW>land>j.S>SW>land... Of course, stage position matters a little when you're setting up SW loops but the general idea is there. also; http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4231
VR-Raiden Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Hello guys! I was just wondering, how do I gain altitude when trying to utilize Sidewinder? I usually do Sol's command throw>dash>2H>jS>SW>2H, but I don't really know what to do after that. Any help? A simple, effective combo from his command throw: j.S > SW > 2H > j.S > SW > nj.S > SW > BR You should probably get that down before trying anything fancier. Note that the timing is different depending on character weights, but that combo works on everyone. You're probably just timing the 2H wrong, 2H > j.S > SW is a standard clean hit set up that's often used in simpler combos. If you notice you did 2H too late, and they are too low after j.S, you can sometimes put a j.K in after the j.S then they will be at the right height for the SW.
sol_bad_guy Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 2D > BR >RC > SW > j.S > SW >j.S > SW > j.S > SW works on a lot of chars. I do an air dash j.D between the RC and first sidewinder for potemkin. VV > RC SW isn't too bad either.
