Well I am still trying to find a venue. That is the big part so once I find one I can put everything else up to date. So once that happens I will have prices for other things.

Sup Tron. It's really cool that you're putting this together. That's awesome. I really hope it turns out well. I will unfortunately be out of town, so I personally can't make it, but I'm still really curious: why the venue fee? I can understand a few dollars if you're going to be providing everyone with food and refreshments, but if that's the case, you should make that clear. Otherwise, it looks like you're just trying to make money off of the players. Another thing is that you should probably check for lag on your 72" TV (or at least, make sure to take measures to eliminate lag for when you run the finals). One last piece of advice is to not bite off more than you can chew. You don't know how many people are going to show up with TVs and setups, yet you're planning to run three whole tournaments - the last of which won't start until the first two end. Personally, I think you're spreading your efforts too broadly. Also, lay off the green in your post, man. It's freaking impossible to read. Just my thoughts! I hope it's a success!

Alright I will change the color and keep it to two games. I suppose I can make the venue fee less and I am not providing drinks or food but I may. I am going to keep the venue fee the same but I will provide pizza. Tekken 6 is not going to be added Nick! Sorry.

Um, so in all seriousness a venue fee is only charged to cover renting the space, providing the food, or paying for things without which the tourney can't be run. Since this is at your (?) house, it appears you are just pocketing the money, which looks pretty shady...

How's the pot going to be split? Also, is the total pot amount going to be proportional to the number of entrants despite the fact that some of the entrants are going to be paying less to enter? For example, if 10 people enter BB then the total pot should be $50, but if half of those 10 people are also entering GG and only paying $4 per game then the total pot for BB is going to be $45, unless you compensate somewhere.

Mike Z I am not pocketing the money because I will be providing with what you pay for venue is what will go towards pizza. I have to make a bit in return you know. That is like saying EVO you cant make money off of this tourney, just give it all to us. And Zenmetsu good point I was trying to work a way for people to save a bit of money but I think both will just be $5 then. Any other suggestions would help, I want this to work out good. Sarsapari I am nothing like them and this is my first tourney I am running and believe I like to be prepared not UNPREPARED like them.

Just some suggestions, you should post the pot payout in your main thread. I'm guessing 70/20/10 but it's up to you. Also you should mention something about parking because not every neighborhood allows free parking without permits. Moreover, prepare power strips and like render said test all your screens for lag.

Oh in my neighborhood parking permits is not an issue and I will post the pot splits and have some power strips ready but I may need some extra for some people to bring.
