Can anyone explain the 720 at the end of the match?

I noticed that Tager kept going 4BC->BSledge->5C->ASledge->4D

Wouldn't it have been better to go for Gadget combos against Hakumen? I could understand doing that against someone with good reset options like Ragna, Litchi or another Tager but doing that to Hakumen puts him back at optimal 4C/j.C range so it would put Tager at a disadvantage right??

I was more concerned with the supreme lack of 2Cs. And the random pointless 720s, and the throws that Shadow was obviously going to jump out of LIKE HE KEPT DOING OVER AND OVER. I mean, Nekonin won, but he could have mixed it up a lot more by doing some things to counter the jump-outs once in a while.

2C's would have gotten him hit, IMO collider would have shut him up on wake up and gimmick's would have made that match up easier.

match up looks boring but if haku is involved its a mindgame.

Close.

2A buffer a 360 to 6, hold 6 to walk, 2nd 360+C.

So for example, 2A buffer 62486, walk, 248C.

Like 3s Hugo.

The large number of wrong combos was annoying me, either not going for the most damage or going for a high damage combo that doesn't work there. Also that was a lot of 5Ds I am surprised he didn't get his ass countered all day.

I guess what can be said here is that somebody can win and still be unimpressive...

@SolBadass: maybe I'm just misunderstanding the new 2C - I'm pretty sure it has invincibility vs air but I'm not really sure on the actual frame data - but it seemed like there were some times where Hakumen was jumping around right over Tager and attacking in such a way that 2C would have countered.

I took a looksie at tager's CS frame chart and here's the few things i nutted myself on.

5A +2 on block.

5D +2 on block.

4D 0F on block.

2C 11~14F head invul.

360B 6F grab.

atomic colider 7~16F head invul.

well thats if i'm looking at it right...

look before you leap.

However, one thing to note about 2C that helps it is, while it only has head invuln from frame 11, tager is crouching for the move's startup until it hits. While this won't help against deep jumpins or like....haku's j.2c, in general terms it helps it to be a good aa by having him duck under aerials.

Also, you guys are being pretty critical of that tager. Can't we all be supportive? >.>

no that tager was pretty bad to be honest lol....missed so many AA opportunities and IB 360/720 opporunities...and the fact it was relying on BC throw so much rather than 360....oh god lol

hell no that tager did nothing right! well i thought using 4D ender was nice for quick mag but gadget would have been more rewarding, and that haku-men was bad too.

He looked a bit new to the scene, he was doing stuff that had me going "No, you shouldn't have done that! Do this instead!", and I don't even play Tager anymore, nor have I touched CS.

:v:

I think he's sitting in yomi layer 17 or something, I also think he's lonely. Also, anyone who taunts and gets away with it in a genius in my opinion.

Few things:

- If you do a combo where they got knocked down (360/AC/3C in it somewhere) with 5D, remember you can do a Gadget whiff to cut off the 5D and start getting close again faster.

- On Rachel you can do ACx2, 5C->6A xx AC, etc.

- On Rachel you can also do 360B, 6A->2C xx AC for 4500ish, instead of ASledge, Gadget.

- Don't let her get away with all those jump-back cannons when she's magnetized! AC or 5D and bring her to you...it's worth taking the dmg. Or at least ASledge them, you can do more to get in than just BSl or sj.C.

- You're using my color. I've been using it since CT or some shiz. ;^)
