GhostTear Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 hold 7 and press c i am not even fucking kidding lol
entnervt Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I only played one Tsubaki since release of the jap. version. But what I can say, after playin´ this Tsubaki often, that it is not that easy as qwerty mentioned. Spammin´ j.C or 4C can end in eating a damaging combo. But using j.C and 4C wisely during moving forward and zone Tsubaki into corner and bait her dp (or other punishable stuff) makes her a harmless opponent. Especially if she`s cornered, it`s up to Hakumen, to rape her;)
Warhound Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Fought a decent Tsubaki today, and it seems like at close range, everything she does is just plain faster than what Hakumen can do. Also it's a little bit tough to distinguish her overheads from her lows, since it's not as obvious of an animation as say Noel's 6B. I found that if I did jump too many times in anticipation for my opponent to airdash, she could rush under me, and since there's not much I can do with an anti-air other than block it she's in close, and therefore tougher to deal with.
qwerty Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 what you have, what she has. if you're fighting tsubaki at close range, you're simply not taking control of the match. and here's a hint for using j.C (against anyone): use it close to the ground and at max range. most characters can't punish it or do anything about it at all if you use it right, let alone tsubaki. and just so you're not all left in the dark on this; an air to ground j.C can be hitconfirmed into guren -> enma dustloop.
Warhound Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 Well, thanks for the tips. I'm honestly trying to get grips on new Haku. I was a pretty decent in CT, but the transition isn't going....smoothly. Her mix-ups though....ugh.
qwerty Posted August 5, 2010 Posted August 5, 2010 you have to play hakumen at mid-long range now, as opposed to mid-close range like ct. and uh, tsubaki's mixups can be disrespected all day long. between jumping, ib'ing, counters and hotaru, she doesn't have much to keep you honest.
zdravkelja Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Is it possible to counter her 22D unblockable with D/6D counter? I tried today and couldn't do it even once...
LordSpectreX Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 You can't. It's unblockable. Just jump instead.
Facidi Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Only Akumetsu works on unblockables. Another option is to TK hotaru through it and get a FC
zdravkelja Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 LOL, idiot For some reason I was sure you could counter unblockables... So B or TK Hotaru will do...
entnervt Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 B? Only when the Tsubaki-Player charges the 22D. TKHotaru is the better option. Without magatama barrierguardjump(9).
YukiBlue Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 It seems whenever I catch Tsubaki, Her Drive moves are the only ones that ever give me trouble, simply because I dont have a clue where or what they are. Other than that, Poking and Constant Driving seems to keep her at bay, Space it and come down with whatever aerials you have and it's a pretty easy match, one of the easiest Characters to fight IMO
