Skye Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 Big update, another one is possibly in the works.
GenoWhirl Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9432412 last match, holy shit
Hellfromabove Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Wait hold the fuck up. I was trying to do a combo like this a week or so in to CS. I oppted to not do it since I was only getting around 6k. Seemed that the bird D loop was better. Reason I tried it in the first place was because I had found a 9 Dragon combo in CT that did massive damage and wanted to see if this would be on the par of that. I did not start off with j.C and I did not end with a super. Maybe that's what nerfed my results. Even so, that combo is easy as shit to do. Arakune, so A tier after curse, F tier before that. -Tha Hindu
kousaka Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 hmm interesting, i'll give it a try later tonight.. i haven't really played with the dive loop much.. didn't know it had such damage potential but the ender was weird.. d bug down>5d>236B>d bug up>5d>236236c ? looked like a legit 50% curse ender
Mr.Biscuits Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 What does the dive loop notation look like?
Hellfromabove Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 What does the dive loop notation look like? j.2a/ j.2b/ j.2c -Tha Hindu
Skye Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 I only saw j.2a and j.2c. It looked like j.2a (c release) > j.2c (d release) > C bug > D bug. I can't really say for sure.
kousaka Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 i think he meant the notation for the actual loop.. it was in the jp wiki since the beginning.. im not sure why there weren't vids earlier but its basically.. j2a>j2c>5 C bug> 5 D bug down> 5 D bug up probably similar timing in that you release both C and D bug sometime during the j2c
Skye Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Wouldn't the D bug timing be a little lenient because of the C bug's insane hitstop?
Mr.Biscuits Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 No Negative edge required then? So j2a > j2c > C bug should already be on it's way from the j2c correct? > D while still in j2c animation? I want to get the specifics down before I try to do them at the arcade later tonight. $1 a game can scare you from trying new shit out.
kousaka Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 you would want to delay the D bug such that it hits near the end of the C bug's hit stun so that you have time to land and jump again before D bug up part hits.. if you mash them together you may not have the time to do jump high enough the exact delay im not sure, i was gonna test it tonight but there's a bit of a snow storm tonight so it will have to wait until tomorrow
Mr.Biscuits Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 That's all I need to know. I'll practice it and hopefully I have something worth while to share.
CopperDabbit Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Guys, I'm lazy and don't feel like moving all of these posts. Take all combo discussion to the combo discussion thread, ok?

Irrsinn Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 This guy in youtube say thats fumo, not souji. Man I just don't know anymore .
GenoWhirl Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrJ8cQj0FJ8&feature=channel there are many more but I like the shit Arakune did in this one, for some reason <_<
PhantomX Posted March 7, 2010 Posted March 7, 2010 Yeah, that Arakune was very inventive and fun to watch.
kousaka Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 no it doesn't, 5c prorates more.. but in that particular vid arakune's landing the C bug quite low to the ground for them to use jC.. normally you would do this on smaller characters so that you can walk the opponent forward but on ragna it's not necessary.. my personal guess is that this arakune is doing it as a generic universal combo...
A.X.I.S. Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/user/GAMEacho#p/u/8/DkN49DpGor4 high damage.
