i give up man, seems like this is lesser of a matchup thing and more of a "my pressure/mixup is weak"

go play more games! (or go home and be a family man)

lol ok. But I still say D-nails are terrible for Haz zoning,5a killing Haz mixup options, and most important of all Bang be too ninja.

D-nails are not THAT bad for hazama, its terrible for lambda though

your mixup suck, 5A doesn't ruin anybodies mixup

Ok, so now that CS 1.03 is out, I have to ask, is this match up still the same? I played online against some guy's Bang (he was level 70, so he was probably lots more skilled than me), and the match up felt the same.

Guess right or pay the price.

I honestly think that it's in Hazama's favor. His chain canceling is faster, combos are scary and hurt, 5a godlike as always, 2a is now +2 on block (correct me if I'm wrong), better pressure this time around, etc.

Bang can still do his stuff though. Being a ninja and all.

Can someone explore some options with me here? I'm not too good with getting out of Bang's corner pressure. His overhead comes out so fast, and for some reason it fatal counters. Should I just barrier block when getting up in the corner? Jumping out and trying to poke him out with 5A or 2A doesn't seem to work fast enough. Just trying to learn what my options are against his mix up. Being in the corner against Bang feels hard to fight against.

Bang = D Nails. B Nails. Drive. Corner Pressure > Command Grab.

Hazama = Just Hazama.

The more I play, the more it feels like the grim truth. Against a Bang that seems to not know what he's doing so well, I can massacre them. But against someone that knows what they're doing, they always manage to lock me down into that corner pressure. It's frustrating as hell to get caught by that command grab DX

Hazama is lucky for the fact he can chain from above the height of a double jump. or at the peak of the double jump. Out of Bang's range unless he TK's some D'nails, then pray for a counter of some stupid nature.

If you get in corner pressure, just expect some damage. And against a good bang, a command grab. Or worst of all.

Steel God Damn Rain.

In a corner with that and you should forget winning the round. Whilst it's not widely used, this can lead to real soviet damage. If it hits you in the corner, nothing is stopping him from getting ludicrous damage, and then getting a free Command grab near the end. Which most of the time will kill you outright, You cant do anything in that situation. IF you are in a corner blocking it, you cannot burst, or reject his throw, because you will get the tail end of the nails. And if you dont, you get Command Throw'd.

Now, The game glitches during a CG in steel rain, bang will do his animation and do CG damage. But you will STILL be under the umbrella getting damage off that.

Broken.

TL;DR - STAY OUT OF CORNERS.

Note: No self respecting Bang would waste 12 nails on a single distortion. So you will almost never have this happen to you.

Lol. Good to know. So the method hasn't changed then. Just added something new to the agenda; Stay away from the corners. Unless Bang's against the wall, of course. Wow, how frustrating. Especially that glitch DX Glad I don't have BB on the box then, I guess. Lol.

Dont forget if you have him in a corner, His drive can teleport behind you on hit, and then you are in a corner.

You will have a very bad day in the corner.

So I'm noticing >_< If his mix up wasn't so strong, I honestly wouldn't have a problem with it. But when I get up in the corner, I don't know if he's gonna overhead, trip me, 5a, or poop nails from the sky. And if it wasn't bad enough, nails ground you on hit now DX Guessing and reading are hard to do against someone skilled.

His 623B doesnt bounce now, So I guess I backward tech and Jump + D would be the only viable option. try and catch him out with 214-B?

As of now, I have no Answer to his Mid screen FRKZ T_T

Read for air approaches. Give pressure when you can. Not much against it for him. So yeah, lol bang.

I guess I can add you. I've played against people on a English connection before. Not exactly great, but didn't suck completely.

Brit connection isnt terrible. I have a friend who lives in Sacramento and one in Australia and the connection is always good.

Anywhom. To anyone that adds me. I've been using a stick for 3 Years, and it broke. So I've been using a pad since Tuesday.

No excuse for sucking. But you are going to see dropped Combos.

His drives are punishable, they all leave one part open such as 2d will leave him open for low attacks even during the guard point.

His 5d blocks high and mid, i believe... J.d is his overall safe move since it blocks highs, and mids but im not sure about lows since he's in the air and I never encountered someone who uses a low against j.d

His 6d is his whole body guardpoint, but it ONLY LAST DURING THE FIRST FRAMES, once he moves his leg he's safe to hit but most people are just scared of it and block it during the whole duration of it.

You can pretty much mash through all of his guardpoints except 2D. That's why so many Bangs mash 2D, because it's the safest guardpoint overall, but if you're on your toes you can get an easy 3C CH on reaction.

OS trick does work, but not against command grab.

Just make sure you're close enough for command grab. If they're doing 5d, Bang will move forward a bit, and you can catch him with a late command grab.
