Did you play it all night after you came from Gamestop like we did? :/ we played till like 5 in the morning, It's addictive, I'm debating whether or not I should go to class today to stay home and play it, I'm already done with this week's assignments, and idk my BB skills almost were decreased from playing MBAC,That scared me for a bit,I'm sure SSFIV wont decrease them HORRIBLY.

In at least this type of commentary, you have at least have understanding of a game mechanics, and just basic understanding of most of the cast. People think "Oh, its just talking, sheesh", you kinda have to have a knack for it. And basic rule for all speeches/commentaries- NO "UMM"' or "UHHH". If you notice Scotts comm's he rarely ever does that. It kills the flow of the talking, and generally, makes you sound like an idiot. A good sence of humor helps too (TAGER'S HITBOX IS HUGE LIKE XBOX) :P I could commentate a match with Lambda/Tao/rag, but I have absolutely NO IDEA how the other characters work XDDD...

Don't remember if I was swearing at this stage of my commentary (about to rewatch for lolz), but yeah swearing is a no-no, IMO. Not everyone likes my style of commentary, but I try to mix in a blend of knowledge and entertainment (mostly the latter).

Technically I could probably commentate assuming I could get Ginseng to tell me the basics of Tsubaki outside of "DP TRADES WITH EVERYTHING!" I know everyone else for the most part. But I'm not very funny so it would be very boring for the viewers. Now as a backup, if qwerty goes to this I say we bribe him to commentate. If not him then make Jared or Derek do it if we all have a Make A Man Out of You chorus again!
Chun Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Well, I would actually be up for doing the job if not for the fact what I say isn't exactly the canon way of naming techniques (Plus I apparently mix up terms like Meaty and Active Frames). Basically even though I do have a good amount of knowledge about each character and how they work, I sound like I've only played Street Fighter or something.

Qwerty would do some sadistic troll commentaries. My commentaries aren't THAT good because I would just say, "Hey they're jumping around mashing those meaties like no tomorrow...OH HEY! I'M HUNGRY!
