Since I cant play it as much as I would like im happy about this announcement.

option 1: BB CS for console: 60 + at least 5 month wait... (Maybe longer, they can't compete with SSF4 especially with the leak.)

option 2 : BB CS for comp: 200(comp to play) + BB now + infinite games + infinite possibilities(porn for zach) + almost same game for console

option 3 : That BB CS + for console: 60 + at least 10 month wait + new characters + new moves + more for your money + new modes + new stories + new nu(lol)

I think my order is 3 then 2 then 1

Oh I dont find this funny at all. Personally what I think yall should do is slash 3 of U-Volt's and Xavier's tires. That way Xavier cant drive to the ranbat and U-Volt cant take him. Plus as Gak has said insurance wont pay for it:yaaay:

Xavier is just too good man. I'd go so far to say he's probably the best SF4 player in South Carolina. I think he's one of SC's best hopes for a top 8 spot at Final Round. That being said, I'll actually be at the ranbat tomorrow. I dont know if I want to compete though, esp. if your Myrtle Beach guy is gonna be there with CS (but I think you said he won't be, which makes me sad.) Like I said, I've kind secretly quit SF4. How did I miss this post. But anyway those brownies are a secret recipe I came up when I was thinking about how to get back at Mr.Kerr. Somehow he got what was coming to him and got fired anyway. Too bad it wasnt my fault......

Fighting Game Tier Lists

Competitive Play, Character Balance, and Game Communities

Whenever a game offers players a variety of characters to choose from, some will prove to be better than others. Even a developer’s best-laid plans can fall apart if players discover something they didn’t expect. As time goes on the community will form a consensus about which characters are the best, which characters are middle-of-the-road, and which characters should never beat an experienced opponent. The resulting groupings are called tiers, and topics about them happen anywhere from hardcore community sites like the Shoryuken forums to general sites like GameFAQs.

Tiers are mostly discussed in fighting games, but they can appear in any form in any game. The Metal Man’s weapon is the most versatile weapon in Mega Man 2. An RPG team with a dedicated healer preforms better in the long run than a team based on pure offense. Pokemon enthusiasts have divided all 493 monsters into different groups depending on their effectiveness in verses play. However, since it takes a lot of time to master a fighting game character, people naturally want to know if their efforts are worth it.

What Do Tier Lists Look Like?

A tier list can have as many tiers as it needs, though often five tiers are used. Top tier characters are the best of the best, followed by High tier, Middle tier, Low tier, and Bottom tier. High tier characters are not on the same level as Top tiers but still very good, Middle tier characters have about equal advantages and disadvantages, Low tiers require more effort to compete, and Bottom tiers just aren’t good. Sometimes letters are used as shorthand.

The way characters are grouped depends on the makers. Some rate every possible character matchup in a game, add up the total score of each character, and then group the characters based on those numbers. Others go a more informal route, rating characters based on their general abilities and how they compete against known top-tier characters.

Tiers assume that the players are on an equal skill level, so a character that is easy to play isn’t automatically better than a hard-to-learn character. Because of that, a tier list will change over time. When Street Fighter IV first came to arcades, C. Viper was considered one of the worst characters in the game. The perception of her has changed a lot after people learned more about her.

Who Makes Tier Lists?

Tier lists are formed over time in forum sites as the game’s community learns the ins and outs of the title. Inevitably someone will make a thread about the topic, even if the game hasn’t come out yet. People often post their own tier lists in these topics, but after spending enough time in a community one can see how much personal biases factor into those lists.

Most of the time there is never an “official” tier list – just a general consensus between forum members. An exception is the tier lists from Smash Boards, the community for the Super Smash Brothers games. Its lists are complied by a select group of members every few months. Prima guides for both Street Fighter IV and Super Smash Brothers Brawl have character rankings, though what seems to be good at the beginning of a game’s life span can be very different a few years later.

When Do Character Tiers Overshadow Skill Level?

It depends on the game. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 has over 50 characters, but only about a fifth of the roster is considered viable at the highest levels of play. That turns some people off, but it hasn’t stopped the game from having a healthy community for the nine years it’s been around. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the Virtua Fighter series. It has a much-smaller cast than MVC2, but so much time has been focused on balancing that even the “worst” character can win a tournament. Other games fall somewhere in the middle of these two extremes. However, fewer characters does not mean a more-balanced game.

Should People Pick Characters Based On Tiers?

It depends on what a person wants. Top- and High-tier characters are proven winners, but sometimes those characters don’t fit a person’s playstyle. Some people would rather use a character they like, even if it’s more difficult to win. While some characters indeed suck, tier lists are ultimately a tool made from both analysis and perception. Be informed about what others think, but people shouldn’t let tier lists become the deciding factor in who they play.

Hey man yeah it has been awhile. School has been work + plus bri is work+ plus I actually work at the school cafe. Oh and I've been beating my whole dorm into liking melee. They're getting better. And I'm sapposed to play this really good guy named carolos Monday, and max sounds more legit than the average. Hes been going to alot of tourneys. He spoke of being better than me. But I've gotten better since last time we played and i was able to get wins off back then. Plus Im salty at how i performed at my last tourney so. Im defintely gonna try.

O and Im currently trying to buy a copy of GGAC+ for the ps2. Its freaking hard to find. But yeah man i saw those youtube vids. Tsubaki's defense was lacking in that arkune match. He should have had it. It was still very close though. How've you been man. Oh and yeah my computer has vista
