With the ranbat hype just a few days away, here's some final pointers from TaoFTW and Ginseng: - We're expecting 40 people, total, from the MBAA/GGAC community. Here's the deal; we only have 5 setups running for two tournaments. I want someone to squeeze in an extra TV, plus laptops, for casual setups. If you have the power to bring any extra equipment, then I empower you to bring them! Post them here, on dustloop/meltybread, and I'll make room for them. Even if we don't use the TVs/PS2s, I would rather have a surplus of one - or two - TVs + ps2s just in case an accident happens. - I will make note of this; the first person to bring extra chairs (plural) will get a free buy in...for any - one - tournament. - Lots of people, with limited setups, means longer waiting time than usual. Bring a DS, PSP, or mash Tekken 6 with Derrick - he'll love the competition. - Do your personal hygiene before coming! I know this is self-explanatory, but nobody likes to take a wiff of heavy HOBO MAN JUICE! *glances over at sprt juice* - Last, but not least, have fun! This ranbat is, ultimately, about building new social networks within a competitive stronghold. I know half of the community, but have - yet - to hear from the rest of you flunkies. I have high expectations from you guys and you should expect the same from I. Remember, I'm always open for constructive criticism.

qwerty Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 okay so i can bring: - ps2 + tv + ggac - dc + monitor + converters + whatever - 360 + monitor + converters + whatever - laptop (for streaming, etc) choose wisely. also if anyone would be so kind as to fix my stick as i'm running brackets/doing terrible commentary that'd be great. it's just the cord, if you do the infamous GROMMET DELETE MOD that would solve my problem.
Ginseng Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Okay so regarding side tournaments such as Starcraft: I will provide images for the maps we will use on Saturday, if you need any assistance looking/analyzing at the maps, let me or someone else know. I will also host an impromptu 2v2 tournament if there's enough of a demand for it. It will also be a one dollar fee per person following the 70/20/10 format. I have also considered maps to use for this 2v2 and will provide images for them as well. We will most likely be using Derrick's computers for starcraft. I will have the software, maps, etc prepared beforehand, but you guys are free to use laptops, your own keyboards/mice, and other equipment if you wish. And I cannot stress this enough, please bring headphones or something if you decide to play, nothing's worse than having everyone hear what you're going doing/going to do. I can't travel to the bay area, but will there be any streams, if not for this one, maybe for future events? It'd be awesome to see Norcal's skills for Melty Blood, Guilty Gear, and Blazblue since the scene is sort of quiet.

Ive never played her on Stick before though so dont mind me if Im dropping everything @_@ I've only played her on pad ^^;; EDIT: Also, I think I need a ride to this ^^;;
