Guilty Gear Licensing Rights?

I remember reading something about the Sega-Sammy merge resulting in GG being hard to license or something, and we got BB instead.

I think that was proven false on this forum, but I can't really find the posts that explain every detail about the Sega ownership of the GG series. I just want to know the real story about Sega getting the rights to GG and stuff.

It'll be educational for me and several other people who might read this topic.

A Google search led me to this, but I still want to read more information from people from Dustloop.

Only Sammy and Arc know for sure, and they're sure as shit not talking. Everything else is rampant speculation, assumption, or blatant falsehood. That said, it doesn't matter. If a new Guilty Gear gets made, hooray. If not, well, it had a good run, and we could've been left with a hell of a lot worse than Accent Core.
