blackstar14 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 Anywhere where I can see screen shots of these games? I've already watched a few MB videos but no EFZ or the other one. Oh, and are these pc only? I know Mb is suppose to be coming to the PS2 but anyword of the others
blackstar14 Posted June 11, 2006 Posted June 11, 2006 wow, after looking at those I see where all of this loli love comes from
300bpmshredder Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Here's a stupid question. Do tournaments use the exact arcade mode in the console/pc version of guilty gear? If they do then are EX characters are qualified?

oyg Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 I love my fliptop.. a little annoying having to swap but no problems like I've heard from some people with modchips. At times the swapdisk has a problem loading, but I guess that's my ps2's laser having a problem. :blue:
hatorri hanzo Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 yeah my PS2 is starting not to load the swap magic on the first try, sometimes i have to reset it so it can load swap magic

Jonathan Ingram Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 All right, are we ever going to see translations of the Night of Knives Drama CDs, or the Symposium that was in the Boxset?
blackstar14 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I guess this should be asked here since people have been talking about swapmagic. Ok, I got a burned copy of Slash yesterday and a few hours later I went to play it but it wasn't working. First i'd put in the dvd loader and then when the screen came up that said load program, i'd take it out and put the copy in. The screen would have a flash of red for maybe a second then it would either go black like it would load up but never pass that stage, or it would take me to the browser screen where I access a memory card or the disk, then it would say please put in a ps2 format disk.
Kairi Posted June 26, 2006 Author Posted June 26, 2006 Yeah your just booting it up wrong somewhere, hit me up on aim and I'll guide you through it.
Jonathan Ingram Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 It sounds to me like you might have burned the game at too high of a speed. Try reburning it at a slower rate.
blackstar14 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I got it working. Kairi(sp?) gave me a link to this site with all the possible problems if it wasn't working and after going through all of them it was a lens problem. So I followed the steps to fixing the lens and it actually worked
Lazreal Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 you guys should just load it hdd-ps2 style so the lens doesn't go blind I have a werly upid westion.?>?>,:/ Is it possible to combo to dizzy and insta-kill and beat glitch it so it seems like it comboed? kinda Hokoto No Ken style which brings me to this ttp://gameads.gamepressure.com/tv_game_commercial.asp?ID=2840 is it a manga game?
Sol-Rave Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Stupid Question= what do the numbers represent in relation to combos? I come from a street fighter community so pleaase explain
Advent Cirno Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I dont know if there's a conventions list anywhere on these forums, but I believe they go like this: 7 8 9 = ub u uf 4 5 6 = b n f 1 2 3 = db d df up back, up, up forward back, neutral, forward down back, down, down forward Glad to be of some help.
Manta Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 You can't have looked far: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=372

Kairi Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 I think this is the link i gave him if not just look around those forums its there somewhere http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/82118
blackstar14 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 yea that was the one. If your still having the problem i/m me. For the lens there was a piece I was suppose to to mess with that took me like 45 minutes to even find but I found it and did what they said, though I also knocked my ps2 around so maybe that fixed it..dunno.
purify Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Hi guys my PS2 is giving me disc read errors on everything and I don't know what to do with it. Just started last night...might have magically healed itself by tonight but who knows. It started when I was using swap magic like normal. When I slid the card inside the tray to make the swap, the disc was still spinning when I opened it. After that, it won't play anything. I'm sure it's probably swap magic or my slide card's fault sigh =/ yes I know I should have gotten a flip top blahabal
Effenhoog Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 A couple of dumb questions... 1. Does the burst gauge fill rate depend on the number of hits inflicted/received or the amount of actual damage points? 2. What is Jam's "parry" move that I keep reading about? (probably better suited to the Jam section, but I felt it was a suitably retarded question that it could go here)
Koozebanian Fazoob Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 purify- You probably didn't get the disc latch to close all the way. The internal mechanism is kind of complicated, and little things can go wrong. I had a friend who did something similar to his... took him a little bit of dinking around to make the thing actually work again. You can't just use the open/close button to fix it. Also if you have been playing burnt media on your PS2 with it, you've possibly destroyed your laser. PS2s aren't designed/calibrated to read burnt media, so you can wear out the laser very fast if you are unlucky.

(probably better suited to the Jam section, but I felt it was a suitably retarded question that it could go here) 1. Burst guage raises dependant on damage as well as a steady increase over time, with the increase being more rapid the lower your health state is. 2. Jam's parry is performed by inputting 46 a few frames before a move hits (Including projectiles), Jam recieves no damage nor pushback, and may cancel the parry animation into anything. As you'd expect, this technique is core to Jam play.
