John Dewey Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I am looking for people to play BlazBlue with in Cleveland this summer. I plan to purchase a PS3 in July, perhaps sooner. I am competent on PS3 and Xbox360.
doragonkoroshi Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Pretty sure Cleveland is in Ohio. Did you try asking around the Ohio thread?
Kamui Moon Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 not gonna have much luck anyways. there's no bb scene here. still might be worth checking the cleveland srk thread.
John Dewey Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 I read through it. I don't want players in Ohio. I want players in Cleveland, and only Cleveland. I don't have a car or the time to bounce around the state. As well, I think Cleveland deserves it's own thread.
Kamui Moon Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 no problem. you should still try and get out there though even if you can't drive. cleveland's having its first tournament in like a decade next month http://shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=234580 if you set up bb there you might get someone to play with you for a bit. that's about the best advice i can offer for your situation.
doragonkoroshi Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 How can you want players in Cleveland while at the same time NOT wanting players in Ohio? You'll have a hard time finding people that live in Cleveland, but not also in Ohio. Have you considered that maybe somebody outside of Cleveland might be interested in driving to you sometimes? We'll let this thread sit for a week and see if you still feel Cleveland deserves its own thread after that.
John Dewey Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 I considered that. I'll be contacting people outside of Cleveland. My mindset is mostly that I want something of a tight/regular group, and that will be most easily accomplished if people live in or around Cleveland. Did I do something wrong? You seem upset.
doragonkoroshi Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 A little bit. It's just less cluttered if we keep Ohio stuff in the Ohio thread. It's not that active these days, so it's not like your post will get pushed 3 pages back after a few days or anything. Anybody from Cleveland that visits here regularly will probably check the Ohio thread if they see new activity, so I just really don't feel it was necessary, so I don't know.
John Dewey Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Makes sense, I'll be more conservative in the future. I guess I was nervous it wouldn't get noticed, too. Golly, I've never had a forum before.
doragonkoroshi Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Also, just an observation, but in the off chance that somebody sees a post from you, but doesn't check regional forums, and is from around Cleveland, don't you think you should change your location to "Cleveland?"
John Dewey Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Yeah, I think I probably should. Thanks for the reminder.
