WiCKED Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Oh, for BB, Zong won. Bao got second. Unremarkable Litchi player (who also beat me) got third. Words cannot express my disappointment. But other than that, if you did manage to get in, the cap was kind of worth it, in the sense of winning. It was pretty much a slaughter between the people you've heard of and the random attendees who signed up. Though in the sense of good matches, most of it was pretty painful to watch. Oh yeah, and huge props to the Xie and Pulsr commentary. It was the only thing that kept me awake. What the hell are you talking about? Bao got first place and Kevin got second! (According to official sign ups...lol). Watching this tourney made me realize that AI people are really lucky to have a cabinet set-up. It was cool seeing people there :D
Chun Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 I unfortunately lost earlier on in the tournament, but in the end I was really glad to have met so many So-Cal people and gained more match-up experience. In case anyone's wondering, I lost in the third round to a CT Combo Bang, that also did the command throw to Daifunka link. I was pretty salty since the final round I burst one early to All Green the Bang's slide, then 5C instead(Input Lag Everywhere ), which would have won me the match. It was great to meet and play render, Xie again, and a lot of others. In the end I never played Zong-1, but there's always next year or something else. I feel like I did alright later on, but I'm not sure what kind of impression I left (I'm not free, I hope, haha). Good games guys. Come up to NorCal once in a while. ~Chun

Arifureta Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I'm sad they filled up so fast, but at least there were like mini-tournaments. BBCT gift bags weren't so bad. :V Though I think the only reason I got Astrals in those were because no one knew about Hazama's command grab. It's like easymodo setup.
