GGs you guys. I was doing way better in casuals than I did in the tourney. Wish I could've stayed around to watch the rest but I had a bad headache and my wrists hurt from playing GG. ;P

GGs to everyone.

I was amazed at how smoothly the tournament moved. What a difference two systems makes, eh?

I'm unpleased with my GG performance but still had fun and I lost to good players so I have no regrets. I'm rather pleased with my BB performance, I aim to rank higher next time =D

Since my PS2 is dead I need to get my weekly fix of GG play...so if anyone is down for some Casuals in GG, drop me a line if you want to meet up or I'll see y'all Thursday nights.

First time I've heard about the frame issue with the PS3 vs 360 version but I heard the same thing about SF4 so I guess I shouldn't be surprised to hear it happened to other TypeX2 games...I wonder if KoF12 has the same problem LOL but who cares, it's KoF12. 13 will be another story...

Everybody got hella better at Guilty Gear for this tournament. Everybody who entered seemed to have stepped up their game to a higher level. GGs everyone in GG!

Shout out to Mr. Venom Camaro for helping me run the Guilty Gear tournament!

I'll be bringing my A game for Thursday casuals.

Has anyone done a side by side or frame by frame comparison on this?

This is fascinating.

I got BB for PS3 and worked on this. I tried taking video of both and comparing frames, but that was a bit problematic. I did, however, plug my arcade stick into both consoles at once and recorded the results. It's hard to say what's going on, there does seem to be a slight difference in the timing, but I can't say that one looks an awful lot faster than the other.

What does it look like in challenge mode when you have the game demonstrate combos?

(The differences in timing between the two is obvious, but every individual animation looks the same, from what I can tell. ).

For them to run at different speeds, either the 360 needs to not display certain frames, or the the ps3 needs to re-display "filler frames" . I've looked at hd footage captured from the ps3 version, and I haven't seen any duplicate frames. Unless something really weird is going on, and the xbox version has a difference move speed/ gravity than the ps3 version.

Also, we probably really should move this conversation out of this thread.

FFA tonight for casuals! I'll be down by 8ish (but I have to leave for about 30min at 8:45).

I want to show off my Baiken skills!

I cried. My performance in the GG event was horrendous!!!! Gotta practice gotta practice gotta practice gotta practice gotta practice gotta practice!

Soo, casuals tomorrow. Who plans on going?

Meeee, and probably Amanita.

I haven't been practicing too much in GG, my stick died on me. But what I was working on last was how to play as A.B.A and Anji (mostly to learn how to fight against them in matchups).

I should be free of schedules tomorrow, so I'll see if I can show up.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to this week's tourney.

Shucks..

Maybe they can mail you a check. :v:

[5:08pm] TheBrett: severin

[5:08pm] TheBrett: go report to the ffa thread

[5:08pm] TheBrett: that i will be there

[5:08pm] TheBrett: :p

[5:08pm] severin: okay!

I'll be there thursday as well.

Also, since I can't make it to the tourney either, might as well pencil me in for 3rd place. Everybody fights for 2nd.

I could go...

I need more Potemkin practice >.< It would be awesome if you made it, Mike.

Wait...what? No Lambda and no Carl?

:toot:

Well I mean  I'm glad you both have something better than gaming to do on Halloween.

I'll see if I can make it for part of tonight, since I'll miss Sevvykins too much otherwise. Where you been Wednesdays, duder?
