I happen to be attending Collin this year. I'm assuming you mean the Spring Creek location since you're in Plano. Not sure if I could do late night stuff but if I can work things out I might be able to drop by for a match sometime.

Hey ronin, is Cheebz's stick dual modded too, or can you use Cheebz's well? Zreb(Fort worth haku player) wont be able to come today, but he'll come saturday and bring another guy from dallas. He'll bring his PS3. They're both ps3 pad players, and I was just thinking that we could have two setups running, one with you/me/oso, and zreb/ice(dallas guy)/cheebz on the other. Could you bring a TV? If not, can you, Oso?

Ah what the hell, only one week until school starts, so count me in. My stick isn't dual-modded though, so I would have to swap sticks with ronin. I have a spare LCD monitor I can bring but it runs at 1280x1024 max resolution, not sure if that would be a problem or not. Also we'd need an HDMI -> DVI thingy or something similar and I don't have one of those. Maybe someone else does?

Zreb says it looks like HDMI DVI things are cheap and used for video recording stuff which he wants to do, so plan on bringing that monitor, cheebz.

Edit: Looks like boombox can bring his tv. If zreb can't get the HDMI DVI thing soon we'll pick up boombox with his tv. Woo!

I play on 360 pad too but..I use the analog, not the dpad. You must have magic hands. Bring your 360 controller unless you dont mind the gamestop USB ones.

Anyway, tv thing is covered, so don't worry about that.

When will you be here btw Oso? I'm up for 2-7(possibly 8), though ronin/zreb will probably be here about 3, which means boombox will be here about 3.

I'm gonna try and make it around 3-ish I will bring my stick, and possibly a gg setup since me and cheebz like to duke it out on that from time to time :3(and we can help teach any of you that might want to learn) oh and my girlfriend's coming along too since it ends at around 7/8-ish. which means cheebz might be able to come earlier since it'd probably be easier for me to go in my own car >_>;;

Btw cheebz, can't get the hdmi dvi thing quickly, so gonna have boombox bring his tv.

Boombox rocks and will bring his 360 too. That way, we have greater flexibility since only zreb needs the ps3 and I have a converter for his pad. Without ronin's dual modded stick we'd only have boombox/zreb available for a ps3 setup, so. Much better this way.

Hope cheebz or zreb can pick up ronin, but we'll still be good if they can't.

Btw, anyone have a ps2 stick? I wanna test if ps2 sticks really work on my converter. if so, definitely buying one, since there are plenty of ps2 to ps3 converters and my ps2/ps3 to 360 convert is lagless.(Doesnt work with most ps3 sticks though, apparently)

Also, anyone here play NGBC? Might start playing it with an online friend soon. I bought it just cause SNK bothered to put good netcode in it and i love crossovers. And Geese Howard. And Mai. And Shermie. And Yuki. And Shiki. And Rock. And Moriya. I haven't really played it though, but I like the system. You can cancel blocked/hit moves into a sort of evasive forward move that works like rolls, so sort of a forward moving rapid cancel. Plus, that evasive move being only forward is interesting for charge characters.

No, that's Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Neo Geo Battle Coliseum is an in-house SNK tag-team crossover, but does not have KHUSHNOOD BUTT, sadly. It's like $10 on xbox live with good netcode, according to tons of people on srk.

Yeah, it's a roll cancel(though the characters don't really roll, but whatever). However, I noticed it seems faster than rolls in most kof games, i did some easy comboing(Like, Shermie standing HK cancel into her normal command grab) with it, and it seems most attacks cancel the "roll".

Also, the game pretty much shits meter on you, and supers don't generally seem that great unlike ANIMEGAMES, so it looks quite useful.

I was aware of guard cancelling into rolls in kof2002, but apparently that has offensive roll cancels too. Those aren't as practical for blockstrings and combos, though.
