The difference between jet hosting and mightfo hosting (for me :psyduck:)

Mightfo - I can leave at 8

Jet - I must leave at 7

BUT OF COURSE NOBODY CARES ABOUT ME MIRITE?!

Actually, I really appreciate when people point things like this out when we decide between two hosting places. :o

Qpunch said he might come friday at like 6pm with a PS2 with melty and GG. So, I hope MB players like Cookie and/or GG players like Supaa, Oso etc will be able to come.

that's great to hear, but does that include two sticks for the ps2?

if not I guess I can try mashing out h-aoko combos with a pad

or borrow jet's mayflash again

As far as arcade sticks are concerned, the options most people go with are:

Buy a Madcatz TE (20% during EVO?) - no real need to part mod, only might consider dual mod, PS3 version doesnt play nice with x360 convertors

you can get TEs at Fry's or order online

Buy a HRAP online- pretty solid sticks, might want to switch out the buttons which isn't too hard/expensive

Buy a Qanba - lol?

Buy an SE/cheap arcade stick - switch out all the parts (joystick and buttons), cheap base stick but after mods is about as pricey as the rest. SE's are known for being stupid to mod

With supaa+transient's ps2 sticks, we should be fine on ps2 sticks.

While I don't want transient to have to leave an hour earlier, I'd rather have frigid at all than one more hour of transient, you know?

Anyone else rather have it at my place than jet's?

Hey Dallas-Fort Worth Thread,

I'm Kohatsu EX, you can call me Ko if you want. I've been following this thread for a few months as a user who couldn't post anything back. So I had to make a new account. Anyway, I really like and respect a lot of the things you guys are doing here with the fighting game community. And I'd like to attend a few meet ups as well. I already know Jet, actually I work with him... I also own the copies of certian games that have appeared at past meet ups.

I'm a srcuby pad player looking to give it my best. So can't wait to meet some of you guys at the next one.

Oh look, another new person. sweet! Is mayflash a reliable stick?

Posted (edited)

Mayflash is one of those sticks in the cheap category. To get reasonable performance you will want to swap all the buttons out. Jet has a modded one so he probably knows more about it.

@Meetup: Will see if I can go at all o.O, car broke down today.

I r Sad duck

What games do you own and who do you use?

I may as well stop lurking and speak up. I really only play BBCS ( and GGX2 reload some) on xbox 360. Unemployed and no xbox live. So pretty much, I just spend about 7 hours a day between playing by myself in arcade/training mode, reading various things on dustloop, and watching players on youtube. Oh, and yelling at how shitty the 360 d pad is. Because I can't afford to make/buy a stick. All of my money goes into a car I'm building. Just thought I'd make a post to justify my lurking.

Man people popping up all over the place these days, very cool. So I'm sure mightfo will get to you but since hes being idle-chan and I'm a bored duck, I'll give you my welcomes. (not saying much because I'm a nobody derp)

But yeah, you should come to meetups, I'm sure being a long time lurker, they are held once or twice every week or so at certain places (mightfo, jet, or frigids place). As far as a ride is concerned, I'm sure if your interested in coming some people can be heroes and pick you up. Playing with people is definitely a different experience than playing cheating comps all day. Definitely sounds like you have the motivation, so I'm pretty hype

I still suck but, hope one day I'll be satisfied with myself. I figure the more hours played and reading the better I'll get, but haven't decided on a main yet. I'll mess around with everyone, but Carl or Rachel. and yes I hate the computer. Going to Colorado from the 3rd -7th. Then will probably sit down and devote my self to finding who fits my style best.

Other then that, been working a project to compile everything someone would need to know if they choose BlazBlue as their first fighter. Those who start out from nothing like I once did with GG, and feel like I still am now. I in no way consider myself an expert, or even decent for that matter, in either. But, I've learned a lot from doing this. Hopefully it will help others too. Not sure what format I want to put it in yet.

Never really been super serious about 2d fighters until about 2 months ago. So cramming my brain full of info. I would play GG and such but wouldn't really KNOW what I was doing, got it about a year ago. If that makes sense. I guess best way to describe it is knowing my main (Bridget) well enough to hold my own, but never really keeping up with the rest of the world. So it's been a totally new process of learning and relearning, and learning the names and such for what I have been doing.

Never got that into GG that much, but do enjoy BlazBlue. I guess the mechanics just interest me the most.
