Does the event allow you to play 24 hours straight through on the floor? if you go to quakecon for reasons other than fighting games tourneys run by Quakecon people, have fun, that's probably a good time. if you're going to quakecon for whatever fighting game "tournaments" they are having, DONT GO I went last year and it was a fucking failure. The only thing going at a reasonable pace was SF4 and IIRC they fucking deleted the brackets for that halfway through so they had some huge fucking problems. BB started 3-4 hours late and they only got 2 or 3 matches going after three fucking hours even though they were setups open. It is hard to imagine a worse run tournament. I would rather "play" SF4 against Poongko than go to a quakecon fighting game tournament. Is the next meetup gonna be at jet's place for sure? Yup. Friday after(12th) will probably be at my place tho.

They had rage last year, and bethseda is going to be there with skyrim or something this year. Yes its open 24 hours. I know a restroom or something overflowed and the back half smelt like shit last year i think it was. if u bring a console you can't bring a pc. and i have no idea how many people play what in there. if nothing else go for the swag. Missing this year due to going out of state to go rafting.

Bracket was single elimination. Sticks were octo-gate nonsense that you would be better off not using. Will have to wait and see for A-23, probably going to be BBCS2-R or BB3 by then anyways.

Kohatsu EX Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I can't say I've ever been to quakecon. Iv'e been to Dallas Comicon, a-kon, a-fest for the last few years because I'm an otaku at heart. I did happen to enter a smash tournement with Mrs. Ko at one of those cons, but did poorly because thats not my game. I enjoyed watching Daigo's MVC3 teams, and was wondering the same thing. Who beat him? Also loved how LK took out tokido. I actually met LK a few years ago when he was getting started at BB in Houston. Met him through Kid Viper...

We should have my PS3 BB/AH3/MvC3/AE setup, my PS2 with GGAC+/SFIII setup Cookie's BB/AH3 setup, Kohatsu's JapPS2 with HnK/GGXXSlash/KoF2002UM, I could also Setup my PC to emulate Vampire Savior/XvSF if people are interested? Other wise I will use that table to make space in case anyone brings another setup.
