To anybody going to EVO: Passes go up 20 dollars after this week, if you only want to enter side tournies and don't care about seeing the finals in the main room (you can watch them on a stream in the beta hall) you only have to pay 20 dollars. If you are entering a main game it costs 50 dollars now.

if there's no way to link consoles with offline mode so we can have 4 people across 2 setups there's no way we're going to do 2v2 at meetups

Alright so, I got a venue lined up for the DFW official unofficial Arcsys ranbat season. I'd have liked to give people a two week break after the Austin trip, but the may 4th weekend isn't good for the venue, so provided Sethlon isn't doing a smash tournament on the 27th, that's the tentative date for the first one. It will be at FX game exchange on Parker and Custer in Plano.

If we can get enough confirmed set-ups, we should be able to run a bracket for GG, BB, and P4.

Dude! you answered my prayers, I was hoping ranbats would get started for GG & BB since I noticed you started some for P4A. I will definitely try to make it out to as many ranbats as I can :D and let me know if you need me to help or anything.

Okay, just got the final word from the venue. We're good to go for bi-weekly, and the first date is fixed for may 11th! The 27th is a no go since they're hosting a smash tournament, and although we could technically start this weekend, texas showdown is happening and the next one wouldn't be for a month, 5/4 is a once a year event they throw for customers.

Venue fee will be $3, entry for each game will tentatively be $2 to keep it poverty. 2/3 double elim, winner is character locked, winner takes all, half goes to the top ranked player at the end of the season. I'll figure out end of season bonuses or prizes in the coming weeks. If you bring a set up your venue fee will be paid for you. If we can get four set-ups we should be able to rip through the brackets fast enough to play all three games. Any other set-ups we can still use to run casuals. If anyone can/wants to try and stream I'll put down money for an exhibition or team tournament depending on who shows up.
