Dallas-Fort Worth Thread

Hey guys, as some of you have heard ... I have put playing fighters to the side in favor of running a semi-regular event out here in East Texas. I wanted to find out how many of you would show up if the event had GG/P4U. You guys would be more than welcome to bring setups, and provided I acquire the equipment, we can probably stream matches too. I should be in Dallas on the 11th for a concert (barring my wife saying straight up I can't go). I'll try to make it out and talk to you guys in person.

I don't think I'll make the first one, or even the second one (It's during UFGT)....but I do have two full setups (2 Asus monitors + 2 360s + 1 ps3) I can contribute once I start making it out there. I can stop by but I won't be on time for the tournament because usually I have stuff to do in the morning. If there are more games to be added that will be great. It's not like the scene is dead

my boyfriend's wallet got lost/stolen recently and that included his $200 bus pass which supposedly they won't reprint for him (which seems unlikely to me; your shit got stolen? thanks for the $200 sucker)

If he has any kind of receipt or credit card statement, I believe the main office thing where they interface with customers is in Akard station, that's probably your best bet. If he paid in cash it might be a tough sell.

The way we're going to do the points is to total your five highest scores out of the six week season provided you make all six ranbats, the idea being that if you're busy or have to miss a week, you're not directly penalized and can still put up a five score total, while the people who make all six are rewarded but not in a way that will directly skew the results. Even though you'll miss two, if you can take a few first place finishes, you'll be all set!

Also thanks for the offer to bring a setup once your schedule clears up, and have fun in Chicago.

Anyway, I think I wanna start playing Blaz or GG. I have GGAC+R and Blaz CSExtend on vita and xbox (just not +R YET!)

I am looking for a training partner. I suck and am a total noob at these games. Does anyone live in the fort worth side of town (Richland hills, hurst, euless, bedford, etc?)

Also: The saturday after, the 18th, will probably be the last meetup I ever host. After that I will be living with my parents for a month before moving out of Texas.

Also, there are some things I wont take with me when I am moving out, such as my futon. I will be offering some things like that to people to have for free. I will make a more detailed list soon and ask if anyone wants them, and people can drop by around the 25th to take them.

the only person i can think of is Ro but she is out of town for a while now and hasnt been as active recently :x

maybe someone else is actually close enough but i cant really think of who right now..

if you dont mind driving to dallas we are willing to teach people at meetups. there's people who only started playing gg/bb only recently who would be a decently close level for you. not as convenient/flexible/good as a nearby training partner, but it is something.

D-Town was amazing, such an awesome venue! Even though I was a little disappointed with the turn out, I still learned a lot and had a blast.
