Hey guys, I am new to the FGC in the dallas area. Wanted to start meeting with people and getting better. I currently play sfxt and blazblue(on vita lol). So if anyone near smu wants to meetup and train I am down. Also heres my info for that page 1 post

Location: Dallas Mockingbird station by SMU

Mains: Plat, hakumen

Availability: Weekdays after 6, any time on weekends

Equipment: ps3/360 with 2 sticks.

Meetup hosting: I am willing to host people

Really though SF x TK is weird so far(good thing i rented it)

The online is ass(Netcode seems different from SSF4 may not be but seems worse imo).

The weird thing where the sound cuts out when playing is really weird.

Where all mah colors at only white and black?( If colors are DLC and cost moolah. . . . . .)

The online training mode is really sick but still the sound cuts out and when i mash when my friends training he says im lagging it(Team Balfox >=3)

No Offline pair mode for Xbox. . . . .

Hoping they patch this game up in the week

So many characters i dunno whos to play. Games got alot more freedom than i thought it would so cant wait to see all them crazy combos. Im sure like KeyBlaz this wont be a main game but im sure it will be fun to mess with til Skullgirls/Persona/GG.

Yea the online is trash. But I'm with you on the pairing practice mode. The team online stuff is pretty fun when your not lagging and the sound isn't cutting out (has yet to happen). Oso you are right I probably won't main it but I'm gonna learn enough to where if people want to play I won't be completely free...well hopefully not free.

sfxt is cool. interesting game.

i havent tried online but i've heard from people like sabin that the rollback netcode is pretty good especially if you have a good connection then it is awesome

I wish I could join in, but I will be out of town for the next 2 weekends being back in new orleans for spring break. I plan on locking myself up for a day or two to train in fighters and was wondering whats the best way to improve in BB, is it combo based, learning the normals and pokes, or just getting online and getting stomped?

Learning SF was a lot more about footsies and normals then combos, and then it felt the exact opposite for mvc3 so I was just curious about what mid level BB play focused on.

You can get by with just learning BnBs for your character. Nothing stylish/flashy or character specific. Then go learn basics (spacing, neutral, pressure, zoning, w.e).

No point learning super combos if you can't land a hit. No point not being able to capitalize of your hits.
