Not familiar with this in BB, but i do this a lot in SSF4, basically start at back and hit the button, spin 1 and half circle to end at forward, now just hold forward for a little while and then do the last half circle ending at back and hit the button for a 720. I think its pretty tricky with 5A though since its so fast.

As far as I know, he just goes by "SUB", doesn't really write his name in kana.

Also, I think those SBO qualifier vids are the only videos available for him.

the 2 things I'm suppose to fill out is username and password right?

Thank you. That saved me a lot of time as the field in which you enter crap is one of the few things Google translate doesn't hit so I kept entering my username. -_-

that's the first time I ever see mike z troll and actually do incredibly well in a ditto.

crimson blaze I don't know if your gonna see this but if you manage to get a close range 5C CH on tager then you can:

5C>6A>3C>5C>6A>623C>2D it does about 3k and it only works on tager, well rachel too if she's magnetized I assume.

I will post up a couple of videos up from the Clocktower tournament with me in them. I was having trouble with the Ragna matchup, as you will see when the video comes up. Although I was tired, I think I was just mostly outplayed this time around. I need to figure out footsie options against Ragna or areas to ib and poke myself out of pressure instead of having to rely on 360a or IB 720.

From what I've seen, Spirit Juice was mostly neutral teching in the air, and either I was fucking up my tech trap timing, which I'm sure did happen many times, or the tech trap I was doing loses to neutral tech -> infernal divider.

Does anyone know a neutral tech (while in the air) tech trap?

Videos should be out in about a week, I think. Depends on how fast Raikanami uploads his vids.

The only thing that can catch an air neutral tech IIRC is magnetized 2C xx Collider (delayed). It gets beaten by late tech though and you can eat a potentially big combo for it.

Speaking from CT experience, if you IB 360A Ragna's stuff enough, that usually scares them into either cutting their blockstrings short or resorting to JC-able moves or Gauntlet Hades. As long as your opponent isn't too close, you can usually 5A/2A them out of Gauntlet Hades if they've got meter to RC. If they don't, 360B will catch non-tk. Gauntlet Hades on normal block, unless your opponent is holding up or something. IB 360B is pretty much a guaranteed punish for non-tk. GH.

And while I've never landed it myself because my reactions to JCs are arse, you can probably 2A/2C your opponent after IB'ing 6A or 3C. I guess it depends on what aerial move they choose to throw out. Should beat j.C and j.D at least.

The first hit of Gauntlet Hades is -11 on block IIRC, so yeah, 360+B is free.

*snip*

If you instant block Ragna's 2B, you can normal throw any follow up he does. I prefer 360+B here though lol. Other than that you can't poke out of his strings AFAIK, unless he cancels into Gauntlet Hades; here you can CH him with 5A or 2A xx Collider. If you smell the Gauntlet Hades, just back dash and 360+B.

My buddy Leo showed me that 5B seems to be pretty good against Ragna in footsies; he'd throw it out mid screen, and I'd just watch it cleanly beat most attempts to dash in > 5B because it stays active for so long. I personally can't vouch for this because I never use it, but it seems to work fairly consistently. There's a video of him doing it floating around somewhere on Youtube, maybe he'll find it.

Double Collider combo, whiff Collider, 5B xx Collider will catch Ragna's neutral air tech attempts because his neutral tech randomly launches him really high. I haven't practiced this match up in a while, but I'm fairly certain this works. Try it. Make sure you cancel the 5B into Collider. If he likes neutral air tech to Inferno Divider, then there's literally nothing you can do if he has meter.

It seems to catch quite a few characters, and appears to work because of the tech proration at the end of the combo allowing them to tech earlier (single collider > collider whiff > 5B > collider does not catch neutral tech for most chars). Another similar one is:

Double Collider combo, whiff Collider, 6C pause collider

which catches all 3 aerial techs (if they tech at the first possible moment). The good thing about these is delayed techs can't mess with them as much as there's only a brief hole before a (blue beat) collider will connect.

After the blue beat collider though, neutral tech lets them drop to the ground. I haven't managed to get the semi-pull effect you get after something like

spark > 5C6A2C > ACx2 > collider > collider whiff

Just wanted to clarify, whiff the 3rd collider into 5b or the 2nd?

First round of this video by Akira gives a better example of how Tager's 5B can be used in footsies vs Ragna:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkW3ntkxFHA

@ 16 seconds, Tager's 5B stuffs a dash in 5B from Ragna. You can buffer a A-Sledge during your 5B, like Akira does, and it won't come out on whiff, but it'll come out if you hit the opponent.

First round also shows Akira IB 360B-ing Ragna's 2B as well, so you can see that in action as well.

Rather not show that vid of me since I'm literally just spamming 5B and I only land it like twice. :psyduck:

Speaking from experience though, this only works if the Ragna likes to dash in before an attack. If the Ragna player just spaces himself by standing at max range and pressing buttons, it's basically impossible to react to. If you're going to use 5B in footsies, you're basically reacting to the dash rather than the poke itself, because the idea is to have your 5B out before Ragna's attack.

Hey, Leo. I just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I didn't see the Akira video you posted in the matchup thread until too late, but I've tested out the advice and it adds a lot more tools to the game. I will post some of the videos I have from NCI here for you guys to see if you're interested.

No problem Coopa. I saw the vid of yours and offered my advice in the other thread. Really like watching you play actually, so keep at it.
