The majority of the people that are gonna be there suck so you can be "fresh meat" and still place top 3.

I was a little turned off from attending tournaments after that though. I'm feeling lazy about making this, and I'm going to be tired from going to the us open the day before (yes, I love tennis... don't make fun of me, I'll kill you) but I'm going to push to make it just to support the community.

Yeah, and you wanna tell me about the tournies since then? Even though we had a turnout, event itself had issues. Seems as long as we are 2nd fiddle to SSFIV, shit will happen. That's what I'm looking to stop. About the girlfriend, it kinda depends if she's gonna just play casuals or not. If not, probably not as I've seen people not pay before, but I can't really speak for the venue owners.

In addition, there's a Melee tournament already booked there. That is, if enough people come to the first one to motivate me to continue.
