OrionXElite Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Yeah the place was dead dead dead. Only a couple peeps playin on the Super SF4 cab. Didn't see anyone I knew. I wish I still lived down there by SVGL. We got no fighting game scene whatsoever up here in Grass Valley. If you're ever by SVGL on a Wednesday, go then. Me and Dacidbro are almost ALWAYS there sometime around like 6 or 7 just to mess around in casuals. look for the infamous baby blue Bang and the loud guy mashing Tager :3
blk_mage Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 So I'm thinking about getting this monitor: http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-MS238H-23-Inch-Wide-Monitor/dp/B002ZVCGXQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1286136082&sr=8-2 Is that a good one, it seems like it is but I'm not really sure. I figured I'd post this here since I know you guys more and if I got a monitor I could potentaily host or at the verry least bring a full setup to things.
Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I want to get a recurring issue out into the open, and get feedback from the GG players about it as well. I don't know most people who are strictly in the GG scene very well. I'm good friends with Honnou, good acquaintances with Qwerty, and starting to know a couple others like Katana and such. I've been trying to be extremely cordial and have even been going out of my way to integrate myself slowly in the scene of a game I don't play. So I just want to ask, without being a dick about it, what is it that gives certain unnamed GG players the right to openly shit talk and provoke the BB community? It's rapidly becoming a huge problem, and it's dividing communities that should be harmonious, since we're obviously both playing games that have an underwhelming scene. I would greatly appreciate it if this could stop happening in the future. Everyone in the GG scene actually seems really cool, and I want to get to know you guys better, but the way you guys (In general, not all) talk about and act around BB is extremely destructive, and it frustrates me.

This thread on SRK is a good place to start figuring that out. My guess is: Some GG players don't like BB because it's not GG, some BB players don't know about GG, then it usually leads to both sides arguing about which game is better, but it leads no where and everyone's just salty by the end of it. Or, just blame SF4/SSF4.
Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Yeah, but no one in the BB scene does this, as far as I can tell. We let GG be GG, even if we don't like it. Just common respect. And if anyone in the BB scene DOES do this, it's an equally important problem.

Had there been a valid point in the statement, MAYBE things would be different...

And if anyone in the BB scene DOES do this, it's an equally important problem. Then's it is just some GG-only people who won't try to respect BB. Personally, I love both games. But someone sooner or later will say something that makes someone else mad. Then it will get bigger and bigger until you get what we have in that thread from SRK.
natearistata Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I'mma be throwing people out windows next time if they talk like that again. Real talk.
Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Right, which is why I'm bringing it up, so it won't get bigger, and we can all be friends. That's the entire point.

Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 See, what the fuck is that? What's your problem?
buzzsaw Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 See, what the fuck is that? What's your problem? If you can't handle shit talk, you obviously shouldn't be playing fighting games.
Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 It's not so much about handling shit talk as you being an obnoxious, abrasive person leeching on what should be better times.
natearistata Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Oh good. I found someone to put through a window.
buzzsaw Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Leeching? lol. Who the fuck do you think you are. You play this shitty ass game for retards and think you can come in here and try and Barney everything up? If you have a fucking problem with people openly talking shit, why don't you do something about it instead of beating around the bush behind the protection of the internet.

The entire purpose of handling this online was so everyone could understand my motives, without the added confrontation of a personal call-out. Obviously you're just way too stupid to understand that really, really obvious concept, and just desperately want to fight about something. If you need something to fight about, go to politics, stop ruining the community. I'm not even discussing the game, it's irrelevant. Whether or not BB is a good game means nothing with people like you.

Go avoid confrontation some more you goddamn scrub
Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 God you're stupid. Okay, this was a waste of time. Sorry I even tried, and I'm sorry this guy is the face of GG, terrible representation of the rest of you who play.
natearistata Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Dacid, shhhh. retards goan be retards. let him talk nonsense and be an asshole. Just have a camera around next time he talks at a tourney.
Arvoyea Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Or you're a gigantic fucking pussy who can't call out someone in person. Go avoid confrontation some more you goddamn scrub buzzsaw, Dacid just wants to help the community be more friendly and not go like how you are right now. Let me say this again: at least our games are not at the level of SF4. More than reason enough to be content with our games.
buzzsaw Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Yes, apparently I'm stupid when you bitch and moan about people who talk shit when we have tournaments (an openly accepted thing in the fighting game community). You need to grow the fuck up and learn that the world isn't all touchy feely and rainbows and shit.
Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 It's not about being content with games. That's out of the discussion. This guy just wants to fight. Man, buzz, you were dropped on your head as a child. Seriously.

The obvious problem isn't with the people talking shit. You need to grow some thicker skin.
Dacidbro Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I already said constructive things, douchebag. You ignored them, remember? Anyway stay obnoxious, here's to being lonely the rest of your life.
