yeah, consider yourselves grateful you're not living in the age where a tick throw loop ended up getting you stabbed

Yeah, all we get is complained at for not being in the scene as long as other people.

I remember when I used to think I was cool for playing GG and being a big asshole about it. Now I realize it's cooler just to be a big asshole in general. Niggas be tryin' to jack my style, yo.

Meh, I like BB design and stuff, but truth be told the system has yet to grow on me. Maybe it's because I'm bad or I've played a lot more deeper fighting games (do not infer this as GG). If what i was discussing rubbed you guys the wrong way, it was not out to get you so you need to grow up. I mean it's criticism of a game but really why would anyone be up in arms about a game that other people don't like. It's peoples opinion, everyone has a right to it. Just take it and move on. With you bringing it up you're just creating drama where they shouldn't be and starting this whole GG vs BB crap again. I could care less if you hate the shit out of GG because I'll just keep playing it while you sit their and bitch about it. I mean really.... you are going to waste time/breath/whatever to argue with people who have their minds set in stone. I could care less but I was just discussing my thoughts on a game with someone who I figured had some insight to the game. If you want to correct me then go ahead in a civilized manner. Not trying to tip toe around and shit and just come out and say it. I mean seriously even the Melty community can take their licks yet they keep going and got stronger iirc.

Anyway thanks to Scott for knocking me out first round with Ragna and then Johnny(?)-whoever i played in losers for kicking me in the nuts with another Ragna. Ugh.....

Being an asshole is one of the few intrinsically self validating ways to live. You hardly need a reason to be one. BE PROUD.

nah, i like some of you bb heads.

but real talk; some of ya'll have to get thicker skin. people hate on every game, even in the presence of said game (maybe you've never heard ernest in the presence of third strike, but dayum), but at the end of the day nobody's head is rolling because if you're cool enough we really don't care.

that's one thing the smash community doesn't get; we don't care that they play a shitty game, but we do care about how goddamn annoying and dumb many of them are.

It's fine, this is nothing compared to the SC vs SC2 dilemma. Though most of the foreigner pros and B-team korean progamers who moved to sc2 did it because they stand no chance winning in sc. Haha.

I can understand the argument that people need to develop a thicker skin. That still doesn't absolve some people of a completely caustic attitude. You can say that the world isn't all candy and rainbows, that we need to learn to roll with the punches and take the shit talk or whatever it is you want to say; that doesn't change the fact that the community would be happier and more inviting all around if people could learn not to be such insufferable douchebags.

I honestly would like to pick up and learn GG, but when people take that kind of negative attitude it's hardly enticing. Throw on top of that the relative rarity of the game, and various hardware compatibility issues, and you've got a pretty hard time selling your game so to speak. I'm certain I'm not the only person like this.

And I can totally understand being a little upset over BB being like GG, but simpler. At the risk of making a pariah of myself: I used to play WoW a lot, and I know I got pissed off every time they dumbed down a raid that wasn't even hard in the first place. I know I got pissed every time they simplified what used to be long and complicated ordeal. I was pissed when they gave warlocks their class mount for free, after I did the quest and everything. I was pissed when they took out attunements for raids. Hell, I was pissed when they increased the amount of time you could stay underwater without coming up for air. I was mad about all that stuff, but it's really not fair to get on people's case just because they started playing the game after you.

In short, take the drama back to MvC2 or wherever.

There IS a difference between shit talking and being an obnoxious asshole for the sake of being an obnoxious asshole. So yeah people need to shut up or I'll get in their face with full K-groove meter.

All I'm saying is don't expect people to change their behavior for you, why should they? They like being that way and if people like them the way they are then good luck changing them. I mean, unless you're suckin some dick, blowjobs are game changers

Alright, well thanks for the replies anyway. Thicker skin arguments are pretty dumb IMHO because if anyone's received enough shit talk and been TOTALLY FINE, it's me. But yeah, I'll keep in mind everything said.

hey aj, i figured out why you were beating me in ae.

Playstation 2 (Hyper Street Fighter II Anniversary Edition, only the ST characters will be addressed)

This version has not been thoroughly tested, but the known differences are:

-O.Sagat's Tiger Shots have been toned down considerably

-Ken, Dhalsim, and Sagat can do reversal supers (which they can not in the arcade version)

-Due to an error in porting, Claw's wall dive (ST versions only) must be performed Charge D, K, U (pressing Kick before Up, instead of the normal order)

-if an ST character is facing a non-ST character, the ST character can not tech the throws (in ST, New characters can tech Old characters' throws)

-Holding start when selecting Super Turbo or Super seems to allow access to the original arcade versions of each character.

There's planning for the next NCI to be in SJSU once more, so do plan accordingly for either the 6th or 13th of next month.

I wanna see if I can make it out to NCI next time. I don't think I'd play in the tournament, since I'm pretty terrible. But I feel like watching the stream from home really doesn't do the hype justice. Are there usually people playing casuals off to the side somewhere, or does that usually not happen? Even if there's none of that, it'd be cool to hang out and watch.
