4r5 Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 is this some sort of megaman network battle for the ds or something?
4r5 Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 http://generalnantoka.blog35.fc2.com/ According to my friend that's a native Japanese speaker, grounded B moves, C moves, and D moves now require you to barrier block them while in the air. BEST. CHANGE. EVER.
Avion Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 How about air unblockables that are you know. Air unblockable.
4r5 Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 depending on how much barrier gauge it takes to block in the air, this could be awesome. that is, i hope it takes a lot of gauge
4r5 Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 Everything that has ever made Millia good, and than some. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjAP2v2pXU4
4r5 Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 Yo Matt, why I gotta do your training mode for you? Blocking Ky's Stun Dipper is a 2D, when in range. I suspect that at any range where you get a 2D punish, you also get a dash up 5H. And I'm talking about the second hit of 5H (11f startup) If you instant block the second hit of Stun Dipper, you always get a dash up 5H, regardless of range. Why does it feel like I'm telling you this for the second time? So second hit of Stun Dipper is -13 at best, -16 on instant block. Using you 2D as a reference: anything in 2D range that's 13 frames, whiff or minus on block, is a 2D or a dash up 5H punish. Anything hovering outside of 2D range and is 16 frames is a dash up 5H punish. Now that you are armed with this knowledge, there are quite a bit of key moves out there that are these numbers on block. Faust's f.S for example. Testament's 6H and 2D. Etc. And there are alot of moves out there that are these numbers on whiff. Think about that. Oh hey, Milla's 2H is 11f startup. Oh hey, you get a dashup 2H block punish on Stun Dipper. Wasn't that the first thing I told you when you asked me how to punish it? Does Millia still have a bad poking game or no unprorated combo opportunities outside of oki, now?
4r5 Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 Ian, I haven't forgotten about you. If Ky does Stun Dipper a little outside your 2D range, you can block the first hit and jump between the second it. No 1f-jumping needed. Come down with a free j.H. If you IB the first hit, you get a CH 2S. IBing the second hit is a free dash up 2D, at any range. Regular block at max range, you get a dash up 2K, not sure if you can squeeze a little more distance to chain to 2D without it whiffing. And as with Matt, think of the implications if someone were to whiff a move in front of you, no matter how small. Like, if I can anticipate a seemingly random 5P whiff with a 6H, then surely you two can reaction whiff punish a f.S or something.
