4r5 Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 This month's GG tournament should be a Guilty Gear X: Advance Edition tournament. To show people that GG had tag cancels 10 years before SFxT. Someone find a good emulator and the rom.
4r5 Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 We in that GG:AE. Get ready to hear this every match.
4r5 Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 You're not suppose to announce that you reset the trap on your sig!!
4r5 Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 SRK Jin forums are asssss. People are stuuupid. Jin is probably also assssss. But holy shit does ExPStance>SwayingWillow x3 hurt. Someone is going to feel stupid when they get CH by a Swaying Willow, into three more CH SwayingWillow's, then a full combo.
Zero000 Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I was all about playing Jin. Then I realized that I couldn't stop people from doing shit (how do I stop them jumping/Please stop pressing buttons in my face aaaaaaa) but i guess he does have answers, we must combine Jin minds and then lose in tournament (play ryu pat, he's strong) cr.lk pressure stops people from jumping since it keeps them grounded, must practice cr.lk, cr.lp, B+2,1 string
4r5 Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Jin potentially has potential. He has reversal EX BLOCK which he can cancel into MA or in to MS>Backdash. And throws are kinda crappy in this game, so maybe it's ok that his reversal is a BLOCK that uses METER.
Tarnish Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Jin has the potential to have people on stream talking about move names and how much the-- he sucks.
4r5 Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Jin is potentially interesting in that he is kind of like Baiken, in that he can do a lot of stuff out of blockstun.... except he has to decide if he may want to do something before he starts blocking.....
4r5 Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Axe-Robot in P4U is a damage investment character. Hopefully will feel good like pre-AC Johnny. BTW, GG tournament will be late because I'm coming from work/dinner. Time unknown. So Matt or Rei or someone start a signup sheet. Or just run the tournament yourself, I'm cool with that.
4r5 Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Point blank Counter Hit Swaying Willow, ExPS>MA>SW, ExPS>MA>SW, ExPS>MA>LDP, crLP>ssLP, clHP, crMP, crMP, crHP>ssMP = 560 damage But because this is SF4 damage scaling Counter Hit Swaying Willow, ExPS>MA>SW, ssLP, clHP>Super does the same amount of damage and is easier.
4r5 Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 I'm glad I made this script to calculate that damage before I wasted a weekend practicing it. Combos in this game are so simple, I should make a program to crawl through the entire space of possible combos and spit out a list. Then a human can just go through the list and strike out any combos that aren't possible due to unaccountable variables. Then make a combo video and call it something something Vol. FINAL. And then with combos out of the way, we can start working on setups and start marking characters as hot or not.
4r5 Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 p much, but the space of combos is so very small, very rarely can you say you know every single combo that's worth doing in a game but if I can find someone that can link fierces into fierces, than I might play this game other than that, just waiting for skullgirls, in-night underbirth, maybe P4U
4r5 Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 I should probably play more KoF13, but can't find any character I like and Steve wants to play it, but doesn't want to play it.
qwerty Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 zero was at ncr and didn't tell me he was going????

Tarnish Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 zero was at ncr and didn't tell me he was going???? Better just go into Instant Kill mode and completely turn in that Tension Gauge. Clearly you aren't in need of it!
