NagorbMan Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 So what is everyone's impressions of day 1 xrd? The game looks a bit slower than the XX series, but the pacing didn't seem too ridiculous. Also everyone seems to play similar to their original incarnations. I just wish they could have found more similar voices to the XX voices. Faust's voice they didn't even bother trying to be similar to the original. But besides that and some minor ui nitpicks, I like how this game has turned out. I just hope they get all the other characters that we like patched in soon. Or do like SF4 and just release a bunch of characters on the console release.

4r5 Posted February 20, 2014 Author Posted February 20, 2014 I like everything about Xrd, except lack of Johnny. But that's ok 'cause all the characters look fun to play. I've been wanting to play a Daisuke Guilty Gear ever since Mori did a Guilty Gear. Game is guilty gear speed, hitstop looks to be slightly longer though. Pote hitting CH 2H, you really know you got hit. Almost Melty Blood level counter hit freeze frame. Strider 2 came out, but all I've been doing is watching Xrd streams.

I think you might have to delay the gunflame just a tad because he kept yrc'ing and went past them most of the time.

His new shoulder dash seems pretty good for ground control and would be cool P.buster set up. Like i can see something like: 6k >shoulder> yrc (right before hit)>p.buster or maybe slow things down for heat knuckle if they try to 1 frame jump.
Zero000 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Oh yea, it was a 6P>6HS from what it looked like. It wasn't really the timing of the Gunflame YRC, it was mostly the timing of the 6P>6HS to get the guy out of the corner again so you have space to do stuff

Not that I was complaining. AC was really just giving Potemkin all kinds of ridiculously good shit he should not have had. Looks like Bedman maybe got some sort of infinite fly glitch, lol. The only thing missing is cast. Right now feels little repetetive but yeah everyone looks great and game is much deeper actually with pre ac footsies.
