Clear Sky Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 One of the #reloadonline mods (who also funds and runs the North America #R server) did most of the localization work on the game. Given how much I play on there I was kind of obligated to play. And hey, the game is pretty fun once you look past the animu What game is that? Deathsmilies? 8)
BagLunch Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 What game is that? Deathsmilies? 8) No, not Deathsmiles (which actually looks like a ton of fun!)... Gundemonium Recollection (which is actually quite a solid game!).
BagLunch Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 lol KOF13: "On a side note, I didn't notice until recently how dramatically different the game feels when the input timeframe option is changed in the game's settings. Some of the most simplest moves like K's Iron Trigger> Second Shell/Shoot feels as hard as 1-frame links in SF4. (ok maybe not that strict, but it's a close call) Most arcades have the option on, but a few of the higher competition places have it off, apparently to disable Raiden's CD dropkick since it can't be done without the additional input frames." but then again, isn't raiden's cruise missile dropkick done by just charging one kick button?

The dropkick is hold either B or D (or both to stock 2 dropkicks for 90%+ Raiden Bomber setup), but the button hold is 4 seconds MINIMUM, so unless you're good at holding buttons, said setup isn't wise since you lose the ability to do other things like Guardcancel attack/roll. EDIT: And CD dropkick is just a CD attack, it's different from special attack dropkick. Edited January 6, 2011 by Superking™

I wonder if you can make the input windows bigger instead of smaller than the default. Making them smaller on KOF is just weird; I've always felt KOF games had really stiff controls (and in some cases tighter than ST). The strange thing is basic cancels/chains have oddly tight timing while whiff cancelling is really easy. And by the same token, reversal DP is easy as hell to do (almost SF4 easy) but reversal rolls are basically 1-framers.
BagLunch Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Yeah, just taking out Raiden's CD move is a weird as hell thing to do, because it's definitely not his most dominating feature, and unless there's some seriously loltastic coding in there, doesn't that mean it screws everyone else out of their CDs? The guy who won SBO said that he often played holding both kick buttons for Raiden, because let's face it, that drop kick is one of the best moves in any fighting game ever. Yeah, SNK games in general outside of Garou to me have always had stiff controls. GSP is set up for another title defense in Canada. Already I can see the angle brewing... GSP will never lose on Canadian soil.... Dana White didn't screw GSP, GSP screwed GSP!
BagLunch Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 How easily can Thanos combo throw into the wallcrush super? When used to KO an opponent, it should read, WALLS OF JERICHO
Cardinal_Sin Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/11004/1115414-58.stm balling out of control while it probably boils down to insider knowledge, the social engineering side of it is pretty cool. Baller persona and a sidekick to play the bitch role.

Saru Kada Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 hahahaha slot machine glitches he should have just played at one $10,000 slot machine once and called it a day
ghostgoodboy Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 FUCKING SHARTING PEOPLE. juicy turd bubble.
ghostgoodboy Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 be careful Nigel, internet is serious business. DO NO MORE TROLLING.
BagLunch Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Regarding the KOF13 switch: It should have read GCCD drop kick, not, CD drop kick "There's a combo where you can pull out Raiden's drop kicks right out of his guard cancel CD attack. It basically lets Raiden turtle until he's charged up for an instant kill. With the additional input frames turned off, it can't be done." That is actually even funnier than I imagined.
BagLunch Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 http://p.twipple.jp/data/G/f/e/J/p.jpg So the gundam seed destiny game, in spite of the presence of GvG and subsequently GvG Next, continues to draw top 7 in arcade income. That's pretty incredible. Nobody loves AH3, with its peak earnings coming nowhere near what MBAA pulls, and a sharp decline following just 2 months after AH3's release. wtf is HSF2 doing there too many entertaining things to observe in that list, really
BagLunch Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/software/img/sft_blazblue_continuum_shift2_main.jpg I guess it can make those 3D backgrounds more 3D...
BagLunch Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Ok so that Kingdom Hearts PSP game has a moment that is totally awesome "This unassuming volume has the ability to unlock one's inner powers!" *main character who is always trying to become stronger gasps* "If it's all right, might I have a closer look?" The book is "Winnie the Pooh".
