I wish I can be in Vancouver to play... I'm not sure who plays there anymore. Sytha, sure dude! Hopefully the internet isn't that bad between Prince Rupert and Seattle. My PSN is nagaiyen... I'm trying to learn Ramlethal now. I'm finding her really difficult to play though... I'm used to going from K into S for combos or pressure strings, but she can't do that!

Back in the day, we would all hang out at Mike's place (Saru Kada) for epic GG sessions. With the exception of the mythical Steve-O, we had all the best players the greater Vancouver area had to offer. Slowly those sessions turned into general social hang outs and casual get togethers. Ah yes Guilty Gear... Those were the days! I've been living outside of Vancouver for several years now, so I don't know what everyone has been up to. Anybody move onto GG Xrd? Linuka, I'm not sure how to get in touch with Vancouver players now (if they have any, anymore). I'll post here keep you informed. I'm looking forward to grinding GG Xrd and meeting up as well. Paul, you working hard on your Millia and Eddie? I want to fly over to Alberta and train! Stefan, how's the Japan scene? I'm sure you're frequenting some local arcade on your way home from work. I'm going to EVO again this year and I actually want to invest some time and energy in getting better at this game.

Oh, btw I meant Thursday, not Friday... Japan isn't that much far in the future :D Yeah I think I just will grab some lunch then. I got the games for Stefan-- Dragon Age 2 and Skyrim for PC. I misplaced the receipt... it was something like 3500yen a piece, I think... if you like, you could pay me back the Canadian retail price. Japan is definitely a good experience. I got sick for a few days though... so I didn't get to do as much as I'd like to. But I did a lot anyway, and it's amazing here.

Being fucking cowards and weaklings are not traits to be proud of. ...in more positive news, Stefan and I took part in a random 3v3 tournament at Mikado... I got teamed with FAB and Lark(? the May player)... I forget who Stefan was teamed with, but they were definitely top tier (I think it was FINO, the VE player and a TE player). Holy shit I got my ass handed all around. congrats to Stefan on destroying me in the tournament D: feels like shit letting FAB and Lark down D: no, it was a fun experience. talking to FAB was interesting as he spoke no English at all. we ended up using the arcade's laptop for an online translator just to communicate... he was really nice too, like pretty much all Japanese folk. FAB was like, "tournament TANOSHII. That VENOM SUUROII." He really treats it like a sport... like when I'm getting my ass handed, he tells me, "don't mind don't mind." yeah it's like the animes fucking slam dunk :D GGs Stefan, thanks for showing me around. you've gotten really good at GG while in Japan.

I got eliminated by another DI player who used my same colour. He is also recording the match I played here... Very nice guy and VERY good DI player. He ended up winning the tournament too!
