sweetvids Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Yeah, they discussed a really powerful team of Zero/Dante or Vergil/Wesker anchor. Zero on point with either weasel shot or rapid slash assist works pretty decent for crossups and mixups while Wesker gunshot assist gives a low hitstun scaling otg and Vergil/Dante help setup the standard kill combo with Zero. Also gives a tough choice for other guys since they either have to blow X-factor to kill Zero or Wesker. The reason why I don't play Wesker or Dante is because I don't like them or how they play, and I'm not a sellout like Ray or Alexey. I was playing Zero before he was the best. But like others have said, even though Zero's the best, he's not as fraud friendly. Like one combo from Captain America and I'm down to like 10% health with Zero. What makes him the best is that he's able to build the most meter out of the entire cast now with his combos, has high damage output combos, the buster cancel which makes all of his lightning moves super good now as opposed to Vanilla where the only useful one was really down lightning. And Justin was discussing how characters can't XF guard cancel his blockstrings because he can just release the buster on reaction. Might come over and grab my copy of Marvel to practice some shit. Tired though, 3 days of OT in a row. Make that money bitches.
BagLunch Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Played some dota 2. Lose a bunch of games, see that most of the games get decided by a leaver. Pick shadowfiend and go 11/0/11 and win. Best part is when Sand King keeps burrowstriking right into me, and I ult him in the face.

Almost everybody and every thing got huge buffs. lvl 3 leo resurrection now only 60s cd lmao New item abyssal blade is crazy expensive (as in costs more than a DR expensive) and is a game breaking F U button (2s disable, can target magic immune units wtf) In light of all this, DR got buffed by +50 dmg. Dota 2 looks like such a gimped game in comparison.

I'm still expecting all this to be implemented into Dota 2 when the game comes out next year though.

Considering how powerful everything is in 6.73, I can't tell if people are going to play even more conservatively than before because the moment you get caught you are gonna get instagibbed, or if people will be even more aggressive now because even a 3v2 will probably end in somebody on the 2 side getting blown up right away. If conservative and turtling play rules, then chinese rice farming might come back... until somebody buys the abyssal blade, and then it'll be push mania. It'll still be a luxury item, but it sure beats sheepstick in usefulness for most carries. On the other hand, since people will probably get blown the hell up nigh-instantly now, it might be hard to turtle even if you really try. Maybe leo will suddenly become a top pick because even if he gets blown up he'll be back right away lol The halberd looks too awesome. I do like how it gives a nice alternative to armlet for strength heroes early on, even though they'll probably wind up building both if they have enough time/money. The vanguard nerf is interesting. Considering how jacked up offense is already, nerfing one of the top defensive items just seems to hammer home the "blow ppl the hell up" theme of this version. Couriers are almost comically rewarding now when killed (total of 750 gold awarded to the team that kills it lol)... I don't know how big of a deal removing the shield from the courier will be, unless naix was jumping into it and using it as an unstoppable dynamic entry. Because seriously, how often do upgraded couriers ever get put in danger? Or is courier ganking going to be the new meta?

It's a pretty dramatic visual upgrade from the previous Saints Row games, and evidently you can do wrestling moves on random civilians. In fact, the trailer for it has a guy slow-motion spiral DDT another guy into a glass table. I guess what I'm actually saying is that I want an open-world wrestling game.
