Hey guys I'm actually seeking match up help for this one. Arakune is a character I rarely fight, but when I do it's tough as shit for me. I have a video of me here playing, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRSKJRfKIy4 and I would like to see you guys could say I could improve on. Wether it be relive the block strings to know it or...what to instant block and respond appropriately.

EDIT: matchup wise think you should save your nails more... instead of using them for blockstrings, try using 6A/5B to reset your pressure. arakune has a super fast jump, sooo 5C if you think they will try. arakune players have a really bad habit of always 5Ding after 6A (their overhead) so if you ib the 6A you get free 5A, if you don't iB you should just go with 6D and maybe 2D (not sure, can't test) and teleport. Also when you go for 2D anti air, and you guardpoint his attacks don't go for teleports, your much more likely to hit him if you stay in place.

Ashura is actually minus on hit so you SHOULD block, unless you are sure they are going to hit a button, and then you would just ashura again. Don't waste meter on air supercrash shenanigans, they usually don't work out. I also use A nail to snipe bell bug if i "NEED" to get in, so just another random thought.

Ahhh, I'll keep that in mind then, thanks man. Lol, but I rather go for the iB route than the 6D option. I'd only 6D if its CT. It worked soo much better then.

Why the fuck would you even press 6d in this game? Even if you teleport far, Arakune can hit anywhere on the screen.

well, blocking arakune's 5D is bad, if you almost have full curse, normally i just block if i don't ib, unless i'm about to get cursed...

oh yeah, it didn't come up, but poke with 5B and late chain to 2B if he has 100 meter, to bait his Counter assault.

when your low on health, and about to be cursed, 6D isn't such a bad thing.

also 6D is good for getting out of litchi's daisharin if she doesn't go OUT of her way to bait it.

NEVER use 6D against Ara 5D its JCable o-o. You'll probably eat more curse doing something stupid like that. 2D might be fast enough but I doubt it works without IB. Didn't know you could IB 5A 6A->5D though I'll have to spam that.

its pretty hard to punish after C teleport... sure, you might not be in a disadvantage, but i don't think he can punish you for going to the other side of the screen.

i'm not saying rely on pressing 6D, as you should just always iB 5A the overhead instead.

but being cursed is worse than not being cursed....
