Xanadu Monthly Baltimore MD Sept 11th 2010: Xanadu Sky Trap

Well for the PS3 BBCS... I can provide a extra TE Stick for the setup.

Cool. I strongly suggest everyone to bring your own controller as well.

My brother was borrowing one of my Sixaxis controllers, and I think there may be something slightly wrong with it now. They were playing Madden and apparently at times the guys would move by themselves, as if the analog or directional pad was being held down or something. This is a huge problem for having to use one of them in the tournament (I have to figure out which one it is first).

So please someone or better yet a few people, please bring an extra Sixaxis / Dualshock3 controller or even 2 for others to use in the tournament, so we don't have to use mine and potentially cause problems. I would appreciate it.

What time is the place gonna close?

Also, in a semi-related note to the above question:

Depending on just how long the potential BB tournament takes and how long I plan to be there afterward/the place closes, does anyone want me to bring some other random games to play for Casuals? I don't mind playing BB:CS casuals the whole time I'm there as long as there are people wanting to play, but I thought I'd put it out there.

I can bring (long list):

PS3:

BB:CS

SSF4

T6

VF5

PS2: (I have a 60GB PS3)

Guilty Gear X2

Guilty Gear Isuka lol

CVS2

SF: Anniversary Collection

VF4: Evolution

T4 (has T1-3 as well i think on the same disc)

T5

SC2

SC3

PS1:

MSH vs. SF

Marvel vs. Capcom

SFA2

SFA3

SFEX+@

MKTrilogy

I'm only remotely decent at BB, and everything else i've played even more casually. But I can bring any of those just for fun if people want to play any of them (not all of them obviously).

Damn looks like a BB:CS tournament is actually going to happen. Good shit for you guys making it happen.

I'll help you out with the brackets and shit.

Also, Xanadu never closes. Shit people are there RIGHT NOW 7 fucking AM playing games.

Pat I'm taking up Darkstalkers aka Vampire Savior. That game is legit.

See you bro's tomorrow or today. Fuck I shouldn't have stayed up so late playing VSav.

Also who is LoL Sadguy. I will probably accept challenge even tho I too do not play sf4

So what's the place look like outside? I'm trying to make sure I know where the hell I'm going, and looking at the map stuff I'm not really seeing where Xanadu would be. What's another place nearby that i'll definitely notice to make sure I'm in the right direction?

hopefully someone reads this before it's time for me to leave...

I would like to thank Xanadu for allowing us to host the tournament, and I'd like to thank Zeth for putting it all together. This was quite fun, and I think I will need to get together more often.

lol, I did a food run and was gone for 20mins, and I came back and all the BB players were gone. So how was the tournament? Did the bracket issue get resolved?

Yea, BlazBlue went pretty good and we had a full 16 player tournament. The guys gave me a bracket sheet to use kinda as a format, but the problem was it was set for 20 and all the information about where Loser's went would have made it confusing running it with 16. So I kinda had to write over it, and it looked sloppy but everything went smooth otherwise. No real issues.

-Congrats to LK for winning.

-Thanks to the Xanadu guys from helping me out with stuff.

-Thanks to dragontamer for bringing a 2nd PS3 setup which really helped us out.

-Thanks to Alex for bringing the 360 setup which worked out for some casuals.

-Thanks to Amedo and Issac for bringing extra controllers / letting people use their stuff.

-Thanks to all the BlazBlue players who showed up and played.

-Thanks to all the "not really" BlazBlue players who signed up and played anyway to help fill the tournament.

-GGs to the people I played.

I'll probably post up the full results once the actual Xanadu Monthly Results thread is made.

Good games to everybody. It was cool to put faces to names even in bitter, bitter defeat -_-. Would definitely be up for this again though Xanadu is probably a bit too much of a trek for me to do for the weekly sessions. However the monthly tourneys work out fine. I am also still confused as to why people, of the controllers I brought, would prefer the Madcatz fightpad over the Hori one.

Sucks, I couldn't stay to play. My friend I brought flipped over the $10 venue fee (he was supposed to buy us both in), and they wouldn't let him stay to watch if just I entered, so we just booked. :(

I'll actually stay next time.

Where you the guy with the hat or the guy without the hat because I do remember one of those people complaining about the venue fee but not which one. I blame the Red Bull. :keke:

Was late, only played on 360 against Alex and a friend of mine. Maybe next time I won't work as late or just call out.
