Luckee Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) Man that Ikamusume is cute.... shit, am I on my way to the no-life-crew? D: NOOOOOOOOOO!!! But seriously K2, the way you type sometimes Due to the lack of asians in my school, they were all convinced they shouldn't mess with me cuz I'd probably whip out some kung-fu =_=' until I eventually did take it up LOL ... worldjem7 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Can someone list for me what the fundamentals are? I keep hearing this term but, I'm not clear on what exactly it refers to.
Zeero Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 just a feeling of when to or when not to press buttons how to punish what with what how you react to certain situations getting a good read on your opponent improvisation of what to do when things didnt turn out right so you get the best of what you want basically stuff that should be transferable from all games because its fundamentals to all games
Roldy Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 It's also important that you climbed trees when you were a kid. .... Russell: Can you make it this Thursday? It's going to be our farewell Pui day (he's going to HK the next day)
worldjem7 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Oh, I thought they would be more physical concepts than abstract intuition. Could you give me some examples from BB? I should come for Thursday, too. lol I didn't know you were leaving for HK. (I should probably read the wave more) Fridays are usually bad for me, too because I have to get up so early for Saturday.
Roldy Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 I guess a certain fundamental would be knowing when your opponent is trying to throw you, and you anticipate it. Or in GG, knowing when to air throw and when to anti air instead.
worldjem7 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Someone once told me a good fundamental was to not do random super/whiffed/laggy moves. Or to sum that up: don't do stupid shit. Throws in BB throw me off because they're so slow. If they were faster I'd be able to read them better. lol Although recently I've been learning to break them on reaction.
Zeero Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 i like how theres a farewell for anybody leaving, it doesnt even matter for how long lol john leaves for 2 years, theres a farewell wu leaves for a month, theres a farewell i leave for a week, theres a farewell hermes leaves for 4 days to evo, theres a farewell
archling Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Farewell! Simplest "physical" concept that explains fundamentals is good spacing, footsies, and blocking.
Leo7 Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Fighting game fundamentals in THE RADICAL NINETIES:
unsanctifier Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 SF2 is fun to practice nothing but the fundamentals.

But if you can do the above, you are a good famous player from american standard. for me, after you do your 1st move, I have all the plans and tree diagrams ready against the battle. And I don't like Slayer....his style I no like =\ How am I going to continue to beast with this character?
