Incase you're wondering, there is 1 or 2 of us who plays arcana heart and melty blood competitively while a few others play it casually. Can you please confirm its CS2 btw. And if so, is it safe to say Platinum is banned since most people don't have access to PSN, or rather, would not want to be on PSN until the current state of things lighten up. Thanks.

About platinum, we're going to discuss this, she's not broken like valk when he came out, but I do agree that it would be unfair to get randomed out for not knowing the matchup. However, we do have 360s and converters for pad warriors, so availability is not an issue. If you guys are for banning her, we'll definitely take this into account. Keep in mind, if she's not banned, we'll have maximum 1 or 2 people playing her, with 2-3 weeks of learning tops.

BBCS2 is going to be run on PS3 right (listed on the tourney thread). Is she even available on PS3 right now? There are clear timing differences between 360 and PS3 version and tbh I would prefer to not have to constantly switch between the two versions.

I havent been on PSN for a while so I'm not sure if shes released yet or not

If we're playing on PS3 where shes not available, you might as well say shes banned.

Didn't know there were clear timing differences between xbox and ps3, but I wouldn't know, my execution is pretty bad and my character doesn't require too much precision. We're used to offering both consoles because we had both ps3 and xbox pad warriors, but we'll be able to have enough PS3s if this really is an issue. Our local xbox pad player is currently in tunisia that shouldn't be an issue either. In any case, we listed it as PS3, so you can always veto to it.

Don't think PSN store is back but there's a chance it'll be back before MAT8. I agree that if platinum is unavailable on it, and we listed the tournament as PS3, then likely banned. But yeah, we'll come up with a decision before Monday.

asides from that, MAT being an "official EVO tourney" which should run and comply with "Official Evo Tourney Rules" which was linked in your post (http://mat.mtlsf.com/?page_id=68) says that it is played on PS3.

All in all, I say ban Platinum. She never should have existed anyway.

So we discussed it today, platinum is banned. It's unfair for PS3ers who would be clueless in the matchup. I'll let the guys running the website know, so it will be updated there too.

And yup, PS3 it is for the tournament. It's listed, we wouldn't have enough Xboxes to run on it exclusively, and about half our community consists of PS3 pad players.

For the absolutely necessary scenarios we'll still have xbox's like my own available. However, it creates an option for if you don't want to play on system x you can play on system. That an it allows for the tourney to run faster.

Looks like I'll have to bone up on the shittiest match up for me; haku v.s tager -__-... again.

Anyways with that said, and with Ottawa and other out of towners I'm sure we'll have enough for tournaments in MB and AH. So get relatively hype, btw who here understand the mechanics of those games really well. Like I mean to enough to explain/commentate. This assuming we do commentary for those games, and this would also be appreciated as someone to commentate for the GG tournament (if we record the commentating).

I DEnominate tofu and unsanc. Tofu didn't come to spend time with me for Nemesis and chose his GF over me, and unsanc is a terrorist. 'Nuff said.

1. Plat is "unavailable" more than "banned", and we're just following EVO tournament rules (for playing on ps3)

or

2. plat is banned because my logic make a lot of sense, and my opinion matters a lot.
