I'm just going by the venue and when they are free. I have to work with them, and I got notice fairly late (I asked 2 weeks before i made a post here cause i didn't get confirmation till then)

Tinman I'm going to be real and make it clear to you instead of spewing bullshit like everyone else. What is more important than time is an incentive. We are a bunch of lazy fucks that would really rather sit at home and be nerds rather than going out to be a nerd. None of the gety regulars really want to travel farther to play on console when they have a much more convenient location and better environment to play in (gety). If you think you can simply change the date and expect a higher turnout, you're mistaken. People will have new excuses come november. These guys are just wasting your time with excuses because nobody really wants to come out and hurt your feelings by telling you that you have absolutely no understanding of this community... except me.

Just pick a date and swing it.

Well naturally we don't know the scene since we're new. All we can say is, if u want money, and u want an assload of causals that gety's single setup can't provide, come to this tourney. 1 full day of BBCS awesomeness. If u like T11, then this should also be satisfactory.

the reason we like playing at gety is because of the people and community, money is just an incentive to show up at tournaments...

the way you're going about it is kinda the opposite...

i still might show up just to try and help, but i can't exactly guarantee a huge turnout like t11 since everything was so rushed and everything, especially for the fact that it was so soon after t11...

if i were you i would hold it off until a while and word of mouth spreads

but yeah, 1 extra week wont exactly help alot of people notice it, unless you work your ass off, which no one really likes doing lol

edit: if you want an even larger turnout, hold it in conjunction with another tournament like ssf4 of (lol) brawl

i can almost guarantee you the latter games would get a higher turnout, but more people = more word of mouth = higher chances of bigger turnout
