I always wanted to get into those games. But I'd always get bored trying to get through the beginning of the first one. Plus the battle system is really confusing. :v:

don't bother playing disc 2 of Xenogears. It's like listening to old people in rocking chairs talking about the old days.

I'll consider getting it then. Would you recommend it? I generally trust your tastes, Carlos, so if it's good I'll consider trying it out.

It's a very grindy game, so don't get it if you don't like that kind of thing. Character customization is probably the best in any game ever though.

I actually didn't mind it. While some don't like the implementation, you can't skip it since there's a lot of storyline locked in that disc.

There's also online for PSP2 right carlos? I mean that counts for something. I really enjoyed the PSO/PSU days so I had a lot of fun with it ted.

There's online play, but the way it was implemented is pretty meh. PSP2i is fixing that somewhat, but it'll be at least 6-8 months before that comes to the US. Doesn't hurt me much since I don't like to gamble on randoms, and usually play offline mode or solo through multiplayer.

Is Phantasy Star worth playing? I heard it was terrible because you had to change your staves in order to use different spells, and that's kind of dumb. It's like the retard's version of maxing out spells in FFXI.

Some people complain about that, other people like it. I personally don't like it because it limits you to having to carry around a bunch of staves. Of course, at the same time if you're using staves you probably are going to max out on them anyway. I didn't play a force on PSU though, so I could tell you.

If you can deal with how old PSO is (See: +10 years) I would definitely recommend it. It's a game you can pick up and play easily, with plenty of in depth building of characters. Certain episodes might give you troubles as certain classes (i.e. Episode II gives Forces problems, while Episode IV gives Rangers problems), but it's pretty easy to get around that. I personally enjoy it still and would recommend it to anyone over 13, mostly because they'll probably have lived in the time of the Dreamcast (R.I.P.).

Also, if you're saying all disc two of Xenogears is story, then I most definitely need that disc. All Xenosaga is is story. The entire series is a giant cutscene with a dungeon every now and then. I mainly play games for stories if it's an RPG, so I don't really care if the gameplay is non-existent. The story is beyond epic, however.

Note: This is why I liked Final Fantasy XIII and why I don't usually like games like Monster Hunter.

EDIT: Carlos, I played FFXI and I play Etrian Odyssey; I don't mind grinding.

So anyone who reads this should come to Cracker's tomorrow. Noon.

Ray we should reserve a table for 6 so we get more people to show up.

Mmkay. I'm a huge NIS fanboy, so I own it, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to play that next, or if I wanted to continue playing Rorona.

Also, Neptunia looks sick, and I can't wait for PB:THT for PSP. I love that series so freaking much. Much better than Disgaea.

He was just a better player than me, Ted. Haha. :3

Edit: Hey Ray. "I want you." Remix ver.
