I guess I'm too used to the good people at Aksys "balancing" imba characters by just taking away everything they have. The only example is like Rachel. Strider Chipp Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) Hey, What up guys ! It's me Strider Chipp. I been doing alot of thinking later about my path with video games. I know that playing video games bring me joy excitement to my life. I love every moment of it of playing video games with some of best.(Halo pros) (experienced fighters) But I'm beginning to realize about how i spend my time. Usually it's video games, I know that school does play a role in my life for a video game career, but most of the time I really feel like i'm not getting things accomplished. Thinking about where I'm at in term of skill in MvC3(fighting game). Trying to continue learning fighting game techniques. I realize that my time is very precious to me now.I think don't have anything to prove to people that i'm good at a video game. I may have love the competitive nature of fighting games, but i long run we're all fighting ourselves. I truly believe that there is not a one man thing here. Everyone possesses the ability to learn how to do something(any). You just need to understand how your ability works for you. Learn how to do it use your brain. Learn how to think effectively. I feel like fighting games and alot of things taught me this philosophy. So let me skip the boring stuff. I'm think about to stop playing video games. I have more goals to achieve in my lifetime. I guess it's time to developing new hobbies. Recently I have been self teaching myself chinese, but this is not hobby it's goal. Improving my drawing skills is also a goal of mine and much more things. But before i say Good Bye to video games I want to play one last time with everyone. I want to play in a tournament with other players i don't know. Maybe record some matches of myself playing so I can show my friend at home in Louisiana. How much i improved. I used to do some sprites too, but a ONE-MAN SPRITE MAKING TEAM is the stupidest shit I've ever done. Going into video game designing is another pretty neat option. OTHER THAN THAT, I do have the same problem of dealing with time. But whatever. If I cannot complete getting my medical stuff, I'll just go into character designing and start a new h-game company with Mehraj and Erik. I know they won't deny it. Awwww' yeah.

Also, even though I've heard this song sadly due to it's popularity(of course the popularity is a negative one), what I realized from clicking on those two links and immediately closing them is that I think this song could turn into some kind of sick-hearted Rickroll that instead of simply being a all-good-in-fun joke, will make people rage and turn murderous. Thus, I will start Rickrolling people with this song. Ray, that shit is hot, new or old. Eli, don't take video games too seriously, unless you want to. Even if you're aiming for new goals or whatnot there's nothing stopping you from playing games with your friends for fun. It sounds like you're playing fighting games past the point of having fun, and thus it feels like a negative impact on your life. AT LEAST YOU'RE NOT PLAYING AN MMO.

This is a pretty good point. All of reason why i played competitively was because i wanted actually be a competitive gamer. 17-20 i had my life set. I was training online meeting new people, but sometimes i was hearing alot trash talk. This stuff really motivated me to improve more. So i here i'm now. I think learned what i wanted to learned. So I think need to move on to something new. Learn new things life got alot more to offer. So i guess this my mindset now.
