Asianblade75 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Just wanted to say good shit to everyone who went out to Revelations. It really shows a lot when you go out to another state to compete in a game you enjoy no matter what the results. That's something I personally have been too coward to do especially with how many opportunities I have had to do it. Personally, I froze up cause of shock in a major event. Went 0-2. I demonstrated I am free... damn. I was coward because I felt I would be free. I was... We got 5th in team tournament. It was worth it. Mori came out. Did autographs and drew John and Erik some sick art on their sticks! SSF4AE. I dislike the game, but its SO HYPE in real life. Wow. Shouting out "HEY HEY HEY HEY" all day.
Theupstreamer Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 The majority of the AH3 tourney looked so free though >__> Man you should have gone and beat the majority of the people there.
M19Kamikaze Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Man you should have gone and beat the majority of the people there. Broke as all hell right now. Watching the stream was painful though, you have no idea.
Asianblade75 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Marq. You think you'd do well. I thought I would do well. I was free. Try playing first. (Ted said they weren't free.)
Theupstreamer Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 ^Thanks, I didn't want to have to be the one to slam the shithouse door (again). But since we are on the subject. Marq I really don't think you are in any place to say anything about someone being free. No offense, but none of us have reason to believe in your ethos in this matter. It's also a pretty shitty thing to say that they're free because even if it was true, you're pretty much belittling the success that the people (like Ted) had there and making it seem like not a big deal. Please watch what you say.
Robawtninja Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Ray I respect your sincerity, thoughtfulness, and honesty. Overall I respect you in general.
Asianblade75 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 (edited) Ray. Shut the fuck up and stop being so cool. (That's how you do it, Nam.) I miss AZ. So overall: BBCS2 Teams: Team 3-Hours of Sleep (5th) BBCS2 Singles: Jimmy (0-Free), John (0-2), Lorenzo (?-?), Erik (2?-2) BBCS1 Singles: Lorenzo (?-?), Erik (?-?) I lost to Hazama first round and Noel at second. Stopped paying attention. Won raffles from a girl who gave us free tickets cause she liked us (girl in John's profile picture). Watched Juicebox, Sako, Mr. SNK, Daigo, Mago. It was a real fun day. Ray. You should of came. Edited June 12, 2011 by Asianblade75
Theupstreamer Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 I would have loved to Jimmy, but I need to make sure I have enough money for Evo. I get fucking crazy there and go all out there. It really is a different experience than SRC and stuff like that. For those of you going, be prepared to not get any sleep (I went back to the hotel at 3am, left by six am, and walked my ass the venue last year each day) and I will see you guys there. Totally planning on representing AZ with gg but I have a lot of work to do. Btw who is John?
Angelic Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 (edited) Day 2 of learning how to press buttons. Amirite? I can vouch for ray sleeping like 3 hours each night. Evo is definitely crazy shit... I am personally working massive overtime at work to get the most money I can so I can go crazy and do stupid shit while i'm there... Gonna rep Marvel and Maybe SSFIV. I will aim to play casuals on every game possible Edited June 12, 2011 by Angelic
Robawtninja Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Nah man Ray, I'm quite honest when I praise you. I think terms like free and salty are being thrown around too loosely nowadays. On a different note, I've been stream monstering it up for a while so gonna save up to go to EVO. So I can be a pot monster instead haha.
Theupstreamer Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Well thank you, Nam. You're too kind haha. It would be great if you went to evo so we can do things like not drink together haha.
Ryuuka Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 (edited) You're all free. I'm free. Everyone but N-O is free. Speaking of free, I'm free on tuesday and wednesday. We should get wings. Edited June 12, 2011 by Ryuuka
euphoria gaming Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 UPDATE:http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?11829-Arcana-Blaze-(Blazblue-CS2-amp-Arcana-Heart-3-Tourney)-6-25-11&p=1036262#post1036262 (I've Give a SHOUT OUT TO JEDIROBB FOR THIS)
Robawtninja Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Dude Ray that sounds hot. Oh and to answer your question about John. He's the Tao/Tsubaki player that comes with me and Jimmy sometimes to Rubens.
Theupstreamer Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Hot just barely begins to describe it. It's vegas man. John Howard? I though you guys were talking about him, but Jimmy said there was a girl in his profile pic (I guess facebook?) and I checked and it was still his old one.
Hateraid Red Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Blazblue büt kamp! I want us to do well at evo~
Chumaralupa Posted June 13, 2011 Author Posted June 13, 2011 Brian, I'm thinking the exact same thing, I think god is sending me back tomorrow for that exact purpose. On that note, who wants to pick me up from the airport?!?!? d(^_^)b I wanna hear all about RevLA in person from the people who went, I also wanna watch the AH3 finals streams so I can see how bad I am. Did HF-Blade go? If UFGT was any indication of the AH3 scene in the USA I think he could probably win. Oh and did they do BBCS1 and 2 at RevLA?
Theupstreamer Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 H-F did win. It was funny. It is also understandable after playing him that one time. It's like he just knows everything about the game.
M19Kamikaze Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I was mainly talking about AH3 (since the game is fairly new to anyone who didn't import it) but you guys are right tho. Question, was Satoshi really that good? It just seemed like everyone who stepped up to the plate against that guy struck out hard.
Spiteful Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Wings tomorrow night and BB büt camp both sound like awesome ideas. I am down for both.
Asianblade75 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) On that note, who wants to pick me up from the airport?!?!? d(^_^)b What time do you come back? I'll be working. And you remember my work is right next to your place and the airport. Oh yeah, just like I posted on your facebook, sorry about your stick. Question, was Satoshi really that good? It just seemed like everyone who stepped up to the plate against that guy struck out hard. Play against a Makoto. A Makoto that doesn't drop combos and knows when to punish you hard. Other than that, I'm salty I didn't get a picture with Sako. Sako is so damn cool. ♥ Edited June 13, 2011 by Asianblade75
Hateraid Red Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) Guys. Satoshi is the bang player at last year's sbo who placed 2nd. He's that good. However I saw a lot of garbage on that stream. No concept of footsies. Just look at how many normal whiff punishes he got. Everyone in america is in a rush to hit buttons. However.. this is a good thing. It forces people to see passed the combos when they watch the replays. Which leads to the next step in the metagame; Spacing and movement. Staggering blockstrings, combos, and weird oki set ups can only go so far. Edited June 13, 2011 by Hateraid Red
