iKidnapLolis Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 Okay cool, I also have some friends in the area that I am trying to get into the game but they are kind of worried that they aren't good enough... trying to get them to do some netplay so they can see that they aren't that terrible and if that works out I might be able to get them to come along.
huey253 Posted August 19, 2012 Posted August 19, 2012 the tournament is actually really relaxed and we have lots of casuals, so I recommend bringing them anyways.... I'm sure they'll have fun at the very least.... (and they will learn too)

The level of competition isn't as high as what's down south, but it's way closer to you, and we got 14 entrants for the P4A tourney last time c: Not that you shouldn't go further for stuff, but it's something that should be easy to get to on a regular basis.

I'm actually having weeklies at my place every Thursday and random SF4 players are actually playing P4, though theyre just as bad at is as they are SF4. Still no idea who Chaoschao is, lol. (you should come to the meetups, even if its just me and Osuna)

Thanks again to Huey253, Logichole, and Veteru for all your work and giving me a monthly to play Persona ^^ Just to let people know about events Every Tuesday: Gamebreakerz holds casuals and (if enough people are there) tournaments at 8pm (doors open at 3pm). I know I talked to a few of you who were planning on making it. Every Thursday: I hold tournaments at GameClucks in Lynnwood, WA at 7pm (doors open at 5pm, details, replays, and results here). I know this is way too far for most of you, but if you're in the area, come on by! Saturday, September 15th: We will be holding our monthly, Saturday Slugfest III at Dante's Seattle in the U District at 6pm (doors open at Noon). I hope people can make it for this! Weekend of September 22-23rd: End of Summer Event 2012 at the Red Lion in Seattle, WA. The registration fee will increase by $10 on September 1st, so if you're planning on attending this upcoming major, I would register before then. Also, if you're ever in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle, we hold casuals pretty regularly on Wednesdays evenings and will get sessions going again at the UW when it resumes. We're at Shoryuken UW on Facebook.

My actual name is Matt (or Matthew, whichever), I currently live in Redmond, though I grew up in BC, and moved here at the start of the year for work. P4A's pretty much the only fighter I play seriously now, but I used to be part of the Victoria, BC scene when I was going to school, where I mostly played SF4 and various iterations of BB, though I dabble a lot in all sorts of stuff. Hopefully I'll try to make it out to more stuff in the future!

I'm that one guy who played Litchi. Anyways, I haven't legitimately picked up any fighters since right around when BB:CS2 came out on consoles. I tried out P4A at PAX at Veteru's insistence and now I'm getting into it. I'm also in Redmond, WA, so keep an eye out for me in the Seattle area!

I was talking to Landis and he was talking about casuals that happen every Sunday in Kent but he didn't specify where. Just wanted to know where casuals happen and all that, only days off are Sunday/Monday I want to play more local casuals and start getting back into BB when CP comes out.
