My experience has been that the nerds here are pretty much the same kind of nerds you'll find on a typical college campus. There's lots of LoL/HoN, MTG, D&D, and FPS players in general, but few fighting game players (AFAIK, I'm the only one here). I've seen a few people mash Vanilla Marvel 3 in the rec room and a friend of mine is somewhat interested in learning GG, but that's about it. Sad, but that's just the way it's gotta be. I'm halfway to becoming a full time shmup player.
Ichipoo Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) I've always contemplated joining the Navy after I get my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering as an officer since I want my future children to enjoy the benefits that I'm enjoying right now due to having a father who was in the Navy for 20+ years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer (free tuition, free health insurance, etc) since I don't see the economy getting better soon. Then I'll try to get stationed in Japan since all my friends and family said they liked it there when they visited/lived there before. Edited September 12, 2012 by Ichipoo

Well they original post was from back in 2010! I just figured I'd try and see if anyone new was around. I just have always had bad luck with meeting people interested in the same type of games as me and try all avenues in trying to find people. At least someone replied, so I really cant complain.
