Arvoyea Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 http://www.petitiononline.com/ggxxac23/petition.html If you wanna 'keep the flag flying' for our favorite fighting game, please sign! It's entirely possible that this could happen if we show enough support for it. In fact, Daisuke Ishiwatari has said before that if there is enough interest, they will do it! Here's the quotation from the interview: APA: Are there any plans to release Guilty Gear: Accent Core Plus on Xbox Box Live Arcade and PlayStation Network with online play? Ishiwatari: It's something we would like to do. If the fans' voices are loud enough, we'll do it.
Kamui Moon Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I hate to break it to everyone' date=' but unfortunately at this time, they are NOT currently developing an online version of Accent Core. Pachi recently brought the idea up to the company president at a meeting and his response was just something along the lines of "That is an interesting idea..." which is sorta like the indirect Japanese way of saying "No".[/quote'] listen, i'm as dedicated as humanly possible to playing gg, but it's not gonna happen. i'm also dying of laughter at the one signature that said gg was expensive/hard to find. http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=66736
Bonzai Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Sign it anyway. If enough interest is shown by the consumer they'll do it either way.
Nakkiel Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 No they won't, lol. The game has been out for years, and the PS3 and 360 aren't exactly brand spankin' new anymore.
Bonzai Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 They released MvC2 for the 360/PS3 and that game is 5 years older than GGAC.
Augxst Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 well I did my part, the only thing we could do now is wait and see
Arvoyea Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 C'mon y'all. Stay positive and spread the word to all forums you go to.
PimpUigi Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Yeah, do it up. Spam this shit everywhere. (that's how I got here) The petition shouldn't say anything bad about Guilty Gear, like "it's weird" or whatever that stupid crap was... And it shouldn't ask for Accent Core Plus necesarily, but "an updated version with the Slash announcer, possibly a couple balance changes, and bigger FRC windows to encourage more people to buy. If not, Accent Core Plus is fine."
Nakkiel Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 They released MvC2 for the 360/PS3 and that game is 5 years older than GGAC. Let's ignore the fact the game is (or was) far more popular.
Bonzai Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Let's ignore the fact the game is (or was) far more popular. Garou?
MARIN Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 listen, i'm as dedicated as humanly possible to playing gg, but it's not gonna happen. i'm also dying of laughter at the one signature that said gg was expensive/hard to find. http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=66736 Do you know where to get this game for PAL ps2's? Have searched for ages but could only find NTSC versions
femoral Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Signed and posted up on my local forums! Make your voices heard!
femoral Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Is there any way that we can get a mod to make this an announcement or article?
VR-Raiden Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Not that I'm too optimistic about this doing anything, but I feel like it's asking a bit much to have included PC. Should have just been PSN/XBL imo. But I will sign it in hopes that it possibly does something
femoral Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 119 signatures and counting... How do we go about getting this to ASW, does it send it when we have enough sigs? or do we choose when to send it
bbq sauce Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 If you REALLY want this to happen, you should be trying to garner attention of those who developed GGPO, and attempt to get them to create a netcode for an emulator that runs more updated boards. ASW has stated they aren't particularly interested in porting GGAC to psn or xbl, let alone PC where it would only be pirated. A few hundred American signatures, really aren't going to mean much to them. This is basically just saying "Hey guys, we guarantee that if you do it, 120 people will download it.." You're looking at 1800 dollars if it were a 15 dollar download. What they'd have to pay to Sony just to put it on PSN would likely be more than 1800 dollars. Not counting the programmers they'd have to pay to do the port and netcode. Granted, I'm sure more people would buy it once it was put out, but, if in an online community of Arcsys fans with 14,000 some members, only 120 people signed for it, you aren't doing a very convincing job. If you could guarantee half of us here at DL are going to pay, you might be on to something, but, even then, it can't really be guaranteed to them. GGPO on the other hand just fucked out of a good deal of potential money by Capcom, who'd originally planned to have them do the netcode for SF4, and backed out at the last minute. They have something to prove. If they can see potential in gaining an even biggger player base by writing a netcode that runs with a worthy naomi/atomiswave etc emulator, and adding newer games, they may be willing to.. As increasing they numbers even further would only benefit them, if they want to try and pitch their netcode to a mainstream company.

femoral Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I think we need to get this on the front page personally, there are 100 people online at any given time, most of them dont even know this thread exsists because people have stopped checking it.
blueNINE Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 I think we need to get this on the front page... Yes.
Honnou Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Up to 155...I want to see at least 1000 sign this, impossible or not.
ZONG_one Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 Did my part. Now if only 900 more would do theirs. :]
