Cirno Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Haha, I was just poking fun Cirno. I do that a lot. I mean nothing of it =P I'm honestly fine for however this runs, what did you want to work on Cirno? Right, right. Like I said, I don't really have anything in particular that I was initially planning on writing about. I suppose I was going to start with her normals, then her special moves, then her distortions, and lastly her drive, since it seems to be the most in-depth attribute to her. After that, if no one else has touched up on them, her combos, mixup game, crossups etc etc etc really just whatever sticks out. And of course, would continue on about this for however long. If I see someone has written something before me, then I would simply look for something else. You know, casual fair.. right?
ToastCrust Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I could probably at least make a list of move properties. Low/mid/high/projectile, invulnerability, etc. Can't say I can be super precise, but the easy stuff is easy lol
unsanctifier Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 @ Cirno Yeah, but since we have the opportunity to plan this out, we should get some stuff organized. I personally would like to write the general guide (with everyone's help of course), sort of sift through the sands of all the information people have been finding to try and find the ideal use of the combos and setups, applications of her projectiles, etc.
Cirno Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Yes, it would be nice for it to be organized, and having the time now to do just that makes this seem ideal, but I imagine the situation panning out like this: Someone makes a topic in the newly appointed Platinum forums, and that person (or the mod) continues to update the first post of that topic as more people post with their findings etc. Having multiple topics for her doesn't seem as efficient as one topic, one long OP, possibly sections broken up by quotes. Not only do I have no problem doing this myself; I was planning on it. I plan to sink a decent amount of time into it. And since EVERYONE IN HERE seems to want to do the same thing, that isn't very organized, is it? Structured organizing is fine, but haphazard organizing where everyone says "I want to do this!" and "I'll do that!" and "Maybe I can do this?" isn't really what we need. In fact, since everyone is so eager about it, I'll start something myself. Wait momentarily, and I'll have it ready. Edit: And here we are! I'm going to start filling this page for information that we know currently. Once we have any details on things we don't know, or misinformation is corrected, I'll update it accordingly. Yes, it is empty. Because I just made it. Edited November 13, 2010 by Cirno
Hurricane Rev Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 (edited) Cirno: I see what you are saying. If you want to do it yourself, then that is fine with me. It could mess up or go wrong in some places if everyone help with it. I guess everyone should work on their own ones. Edit: Good Stuff Cirno Edited November 13, 2010 by Hurricane Rev
unsanctifier Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Yeah that's what I was thinking. Just one concentrated chunk of info. An everything guide, unless we find that we need other threads for other things that can go into lengthy details, such as the Carl forums with resets and such.
Starlight777 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Yeah you're right Cirno a big guide for everything is much easier and far less messy than what we were doing previously. Nice to see you have gotten a spot set up early before the test. Also I've just noticed we've seen all items used except the bat in vids.
Cirno Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Just noticed this while updating, Platinum's bomb goes through Hazama's chain and still explodes in this video. I've also enabled comments in that post, so if anyone finds anything I didn't, you can tell me there.
unsanctifier Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Hmm, I wonder if it will still explode on contact with an opponent. If it does, that's REALLY sugoi. Hazama's chains count as physical and projectile. So that would be a HUGE up over zoners and pokers...
SoWL Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 You know, I've also been collecting all the info here, but it's all in Russian (because it's, you know, a Russian board). So, of course, I support the idea of having it in one place for reference, and am willing to help. For now, you're missing her j2C, which looks like a dramatic kick, but deals small damage.

Right, right. Forgot about that one, thanks. You can also comment on the page if I've forgotten something. Updated the page to look a lot nicer, and all the normals are up there. Starting special moves, and have some misc junk.
Starlight777 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 This may not be anything to go on but in one of the recent screenshots she was shown doing a 3-hit combo on Mu and it did 1899 damage what would that say about her output? Also in the shot she was on a heart shaped board.
SoWL Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 This may not be anything to go on but in one of the recent screenshots she was shown doing a 3-hit combo on Mu and it did 1899 damage what would that say about her output? Also in the shot she was on a heart shaped board. And she doesn't have any items equipped on that screen. The move itself may be Swallow Moon, seeing that she leaves some pink sparkles behind, which mean that the move started close to the ground and took her higher in the air.
ToastCrust Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 ... 3-hit combo on Mu and it did 1899 damage.... Wow, I can feel Rachel's tears hitting her wheels and chair.
Cirno Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Aaaaand I've updated this for the last time tonight (morning, it's 56am when did that happen) and I am going to bed. Again, if you want to save me some time, or figure something I wrote is incorrect, you can comment on that page with whatever I'm missing/mistaken about and I'll add it. This may not be anything to go on but in one of the recent screenshots she was shown doing a 3-hit combo on Mu and it did 1899 damage what would that say about her output? Also in the shot she was on a heart shaped board. Doesn't say much at all. Firstly, she's doing a special move(Swallow Moon?) early in that combo, which could have easily racked the damage up quickly. If you do 5C 2C 623B with Jin that would easily be similar damage.
unsanctifier Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 This may not be anything to go on but in one of the recent screenshots she was shown doing a 3-hit combo on Mu and it did 1899 damage what would that say about her output? Also in the shot she was on a heart shaped board. Yeah that doesn't really mean much, that move is a special move and isn't something simple to combo off of from what the videos would have us believe. Any couple of C hits or B hits + a special move should produce damage relative to this. (Except in the case of really weak hitters...rachel q.q)
Hurricane Rev Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) So Far, So Good Cirno 6B: Marisa's ass attack. Hits high, but seems difficult to follow up. (maybe impossible?) hmm...... I wonder if this move will give you frame advantage if someone block it or not. EDIT: Tomorrow is the day when the final loketest will begin folks. Get Your Magic Ready Guys!!! unsanctifier Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I won't be doing any proper research until I get platinum in my hands. Until then I won't be doing work, I don't like posting iffy information.

Until then I won't be doing work, I don't like posting iffy information. Same really. But I will write some info down seeing how this will be the last loketest and between this loketest and the final ver of the game, its not too far away and I doubt that many things will change.
Starlight777 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Thanks for the input about that pic even though that really was nothing to go on,it did kill a bit of time and kind of relieve this stressful nightmare I had of Platinum doing Rachel damage.
Cirno Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 (edited) I won't be doing any proper research until I get platinum in my hands. Until then I won't be doing work, I don't like posting iffy information. Neither do I, but since there's still another location test, and her official release in which anything can change, everything and nothing at this point is 'iffy'. So long as everything is corrected in due time, and everyone understands that none of this is concrete, it'll all be fine. Working on special moves now. Edit: From the 5th Loketest: * Platinum appears unchanged since last location test. Platinum: + Dash is pretty far. * Has 5 Guard Primers * Air dash animation is Platinum riding her staff like Cardcaptor Sakura. Hang time on the air dash is long. If she and another character air dash and attack at the same time, it might be possible for her opponent to hit her afterward before she lands. Edited the Platinum Data page to include this information. Edited November 15, 2010 by Cirno
Hurricane Rev Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Her having 5 guard primers seems alright to me. Also, her air dash seems really cool but it sounds like its unsafe to use. I don't really get the "dash is pretty far" part though. Are they talking about her ground dash or her air dash or maybe her command dash grab?? Sorry for the stupid question.
C0R Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Normal airdash and IAD, I think. I imagine it's powerful, but risky, sort of like Hakumen's. Though under the cover of a zoning item (read: Bombs), I can't see there being a real punishable downside.
Cirno Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I'm kind of imagining Roll from TvC's airdash, but without the initial delay that Roll's had.
